🌍 Making Christmas decorations using natural materials is the most environmentally way to decorate. Here @WhitegateOak are cutting holly for an advent wreath. We suggest using cinnamon sticks and dried slices of orange to make delicious smelling decorations. 🌍 @SchoolWhitegate

[Whitegate Worship @WhitegateWorsh1]

🎄🕯 @WhitegateOak have been busy finding and cutting holly from the school grounds to make our advent wreath for collective worship. We can’t wait to see the finished wreath tomorrow! 🕯🎄 @SchoolWhitegate #advent

@BennettBunchHQ @SchoolWhitegate A brilliant idea! Eco-club will certainly be looking into more veggie and plant based options when the menu is next reviewed. #changeforNOW

🥕🍎🍌🍐🍊 In Eco-Club we learnt more about different ways we can live more sustainably. Eating more vegetarian meals each week is a brilliant way to cut down on your carbon footprint. Here is Eco-Club enjoying some plastic free, healthy fruits and veg. @SchoolWhitegate

[@whitegateecoacts @whitegateeco]

🪥 🌍 Thank you very much @BennettBunchHQ for donating ‘The Tale of a Toothbrush’ and bamboo toothbrushes to eco-club! We loved following the story of what happens to our plastic toothbrushes. A bamboo toothbrush is a small way to be more sustainable. 🌍 🪥 @SchoolWhitegate

This week's picture news is looking at COP26. "If we don't act now, it'll be too late. Every day that goes by in which we don't do something about it is a day wasted." - Sir David Attenborough

🐟🦈 Plastic pollution is one of the biggest threats to ocean life!Maple learnt some facts and statistics about this during their trip to @BluePlanetUK @SchoolWhitegate ♻️ How can you reduce, re-use and recycle more at home?

[@whitegateecoacts @whitegateeco]

🌊 ♻️ As we walked around Blue Planet, we were constantly reminded of the damage and dangers caused by plastic pollution. As a school, we pledge to help reduce our use of single use plastic. 🌊 ♻️ @BluePlanetUK @SchoolWhitegate

🌍 Raising awareness of the dangers our beautiful world is facing! 🌍 Can you try one new sustainable thing today? @SchoolWhitegate

[@whitegateecoacts @whitegateeco]

🌍 ♻️ Our most recent mission has been to find suggestions on how we can make our lunchtimes more sustainable. We hope to encourage more people to go plastic free with their lunch boxes and to choose reusable tubs and bottles when possible. ♻️ 🌍@SchoolWhitegate
