Upper 30’s on June 1st! I’ll take it. Weather has been a challenge this spring but this makes up for some of it. 24 hours before “golf’s longest day” begins with 82 players trying to qualify for our National Championship. Huge thanks to my turf team.
Played Springfield Country Club today and this may be the most underrated course Ohio. Some of the best green complexes that Ross has ever done.@sccturfgrass has the course in great shape for US Open Qualifying on Monday

In addition to the storytelling we do around the country, we're also fortunate to help document a select few renovations each year. The @maketewah restoration allowed us to work with @makturf and Brian Silva, showcasing the process of bringing the Donald Ross gem back to life.
The “Enduring Greatness” series returned for a fourth year as we profiled Maketewah (Ohio) Country Club and Royal Montreal. @ToroGolf

Butler National Golf Club - #49/Top 100
1974 - George and Tom Fazio
The saying is that Butler National could hold a US Open with a week’s notice. I believe it.
It’s a brute from start to finish. It’s meant to challenge the very good player and it does that in spades.
Great course, amazing staff, and one of the toughest tests of golf around.
More great Golden Age golf ground being revealed in Cincinnati. Enjoyable morning and afternoon learning about the 15 years of progress made by Ted White and the Maketewah Country Club team. Donald Ross and Tom Bendelow are parts of the club’s extensive history.
That May issue can't come soon enough!
We are looking forward to reading more about Ted's story as well the rest of the Enduring Greatness Series to come!
Mild weather may let you sneak in some late winter golf, but we can't expect midseason conditions or presentation. Grass is dormant in many areas and it will take time for maintenance teams to clean up debris and get courses ready for spring ➡️https://t.co/AG1mfM9Al5
Plant trees right next to greens, tees, and fairways.
Don’t worry about how big trees will be in the future.
If you think a hole is too easy, plant trees to fix it.

Drainage and irrigation improvements may not be as exciting as bunker or putting green renovations, but they play a key role in the quality and consistency of playing conditions ➡️https://t.co/hvVyrVXqJB
