Famous churches of old published many written works desiring people to think well.
Famous churches today publish worship songs desiring people to feel well.
🤔
The ways and words of Jesus don’t call us to a COUNTER-CULTURAL life.
Rather, they call us to a culture DISCERNING, culture SHAPING and at times culture CREATING way of life.
It’s weird how just a few months ago culture cancelled @kanyewest for anti-semitism and now if you support #israel you’re gonna get cancelled by the same people.
#America has lost its mind and is in desperate need for the mind of Christ.
The Israelites would have rather been oppressed in Egypt and have an illusion of control then be free in the wilderness under God’s control.
Are we much different today?
Consider “The Wilderness” not as a season but a way of life that demands dependence on Jesus as He guides your journey toward the promised land of eternity with Him.
If you declare Jesus as your king.
If you now belong to His kingdom.
If you say His prayer, “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done In earth as it is in heaven”.
You will find yourself having to work out your faith politically in this cultural moment.
Social Justice says injustice has to be defeated by humans in the natural world.
Biblical Justice says the real injustice was defeated by Jesus in the spiritual world giving all people the opportunity for freedom in the natural world, forever.
Social Justice identifies wealth, opportunities and privilege to only be available to SOME groups of people.
Biblical Justice identifies wealth and opportunities to be available to ALL people because of the privilege of Jesus’ sacrifice for ALL.
Social Justice has identified the oppressor as a specific group of people.
Biblical Justice has identified the oppressor as Satan who all people can be set free from.
Social Justice is not Biblical Justice.
Biblical justice is not social justice.
The greatest injustice of our time is the lack of experience of the saving grace of Jesus for every person in our world.
With the biblical metaphor so rich of God as father and His people His family… it saddens me when I see pastors prioritize the care of their church over their immediate family.
