.@BYUwvolleyball setter @whitneybower8 was drafted this morning by the @AtlantaVibeVB of the newly formed Pro Volleyball Federation (@RealProVB) which has 7 teams in its inaugural season (will be at least 10 in 2025).

She was the 9th pick overall and in the 2nd round.

The season begins January 24th.

The @whitneybower8 era of @BYUwvolleyball is over.

What a 5-year run it was.

112 wins, 6 in the NCAA Tournament.

It's rare to have someone run the show for 4 years, let alone 5 in this extra Covid year era of collegiate athletics.

It was fun to watch her run BYU's offense, be super aggressive on two, and playing great defense especially on tips, and compete at a high level.

She finishes 1st in sets & assists in the rally era (2001-now), 2nd in aces and 3rd in digs.

She came to Provo as a 17-year-old having reclassified in high school to play with her sister, Morgan.

She leaves as one of the best competitors and winners in BYU history coupled with great teammates and coaches.

Her sister Alex will be here next year, also as a setter. So the Bower line continues at the position and with Eden at OH.
