I hatė when jobs ask you to set “goals.” My only goal is to stay employed, pay my bills, and find fulfillment in the parts of my life that have absolutely nothing to do with my job.

We CANNOT even afford hobbies. We CANNOT afford to go out with friends. We CANNOT afford to exist anywhere outside our homes. They then call it a mental health crisis. It's not. It's an affordability crisis.
IF WE LEARN ANYTHING ABOUT THESE HEATWAVES LET IT BE THAT WE NEED TO MAKE OUR CITIES GREENER. PLANT SOME FUCKING TREES. BUILD A PARK. WE NEED MORE GREEN SPACES.
It’s very annoying that we realize children need a summer break and several vacations a year because they attend school, but we think it makes sense for adults to work 40 hours a week all year and probably get 2–3 weeks off in a whole year if you’re lucky.
A week ago I started running as my summer goal (we run a 6 week summer program at work) so it was my goal for 6 weeks to get myself moving.
So far in a week (I didn’t even work out alll last week lol) I’m getting my mile down 🫡
