Well, if anything, I guess the events/comments from Trump over the last few days show he is indeed not “controlled by Israel,” as many would have us believe.
I’m not sure he would be so publicly vocal in criticizing their handling of Lebanon, for instance, if he was nothing more than a whipped dog on Bibi’s leash.
Whether you agree with Trump or not here isn’t the takeaway. The point is, this obsessive “Israel totally controls the Admin” narrative is a load of crap.
🚨 JUST IN: The Saudi Al-Arabia published what they claim is the MOU between the US and Iran, the chapters are:
📌 Immediate and fixed end of the war on all fronts, including Lebanon
📌 The US will immediately lift the naval blockade on Iran, and prevent "any interference" on the matter
📌 The US will withdraw all its forces from the region within a month of reaching a final agreement
📌 Iran will lift the blockade in Hormuz within a month
📌 The US and its "regional partners" are required to develop a plan for the reconstruction of Iran, with funding of at least 300 billion dollars
📌 If the final agreement is implemented, the US will remove all sanctions currently imposed on Iran, including all UN and SWIFT decisions
📌 Iran commits to never producing a nuclear weapon. The issue of enriched uranium will be resolved in the final agreement. Until reaching such an agreement, the US approves the status quo in the Iranian nuclear program
📌 The US will approve the export of Iranian crude oil, including banking, insurance, and shipping. In addition, Washington will release all frozen Iranian funds
🚨JUST IN: The intelligence assessment in Israel, as conveyed in recent days to the political leadership, is that Mojtaba Khamenei does not want to reach a final agreement, and that approving the framework agreement stems from a desire to open the Strait of Hormuz and provide an economic boost to the regime—but NOT to make concessions on the nuclear issue.
Here is the full PDF of White House talking points circulated on the MOU. You can glean much of what's in the doc based on how they're selling it and on what Vance and Kushner said in a call with journalists yesterday. Note that the "small gestures" Kushner alluded to were likely include revenue from allowed Iranian oil sales. Now WSJ confirms that is indeed a reward for signing.

Yet more evidence that he’s never met a dictator he didn’t like. This drivel will come back to haunt him. Everything he says about the Iranian regime couldn’t be more wrong.
Saudi outlet Al Arabiya is publishing, it claims, the memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran.
Its clauses, in brief:
- An immediate and permanent end to the war on all fronts, including Lebanon.
- The U.S. will immediately lift the naval blockade on Iran and prevent “any interference” on the matter.
- The U.S. will withdraw all its forces from the region within a month of concluding a final agreement.
- Iran will lift the Hormuz blockade within a month.
- The U.S. and its “regional partners” commit to formulating a plan for Iran’s reconstruction — funded with at least 300 billion dollars.
- If the final agreement is implemented, the U.S. will remove all current sanctions on Iran, including all U.N. and IAEA resolutions.
- Iran commits: “We will never produce nuclear weapons.” The issue of enriched uranium will be settled in the final agreement. Until such an agreement is reached, the U.S. allows Iran to remain in the current status quo of its nuclear program.
- The U.S. will authorize the export of Iranian crude oil — including banking, insurance, and shipping — and Washington will release all frozen Iranian funds.
⭕ The lies Vance has been telling for the past few days: “The deal is performance-based.” well I guess the only performance the Iranian needed to show is to sign the MOU.
⭕ Let's repeat this: “We have effectively given Iran de facto control over the strait, a weapon more powerful than any nuclear weapon." That's what Vance negotiated
The more we know about Trump’s ‘peace’ deal with Iran, the worse it gets.
We now learn the US will allow Iran immediately to begin exporting oil and other fuel, allowing Tehran to start replenishing its coffers pronto.
Waivers of sanctions on oil sales will take effect the moment the US-Iranian ‘Memo of Understanding’ is signed later this week. Waivers will also cover all necessary services such as banking, transportation and insurance associated with oil exports.
An Iranian supertanker carrying crude has already left the port of Chabahar, crossed the US blockade and today sailed out of the Gulf of Oman with its location tracker active — a first since the beginning of the US blockade in April.
Christmas has really come early for the tyrants of Tehran, courtesy of Santa Trump.
I don’t know how long this DocuSign treaty is going to hold up. I can tell you the Iranian regime is not going to hold their end of the bargain because they never have, and I think we’ll be back at it pretty soon.
Given the way social media works, I don't think the Trump Administration could be handling this "deal" thing in a worse way. People are going to speculate and take up any information they can, and JD going on TV to say "don't do that" isn't going to stop it.
International media is amplifying the Iranian regime perspective and framing things as if Israel is trying to jeopardize a US-Iran deal.
The reality is that Iran is trying to derail a Lebanese-Israeli peace effort.
