For more than two months, I have been working on a truly horrific story about one of the gravest war crimes committed by the United States since Vietnam: The bombing of the Shajareh Tayyebeh school in Minab, Iran. It was one of the first targets struck in the opening hours of the war on February 28, 2026.
At least 156 people were killed in the U.S. cruise missile strikes—120 of them were children and 26 were teachers. We spoke to survivors, first responders, parents, doctors, teachers, psychologists, and other witnesses. Some of them had never before shared their experiences of that day.
It would be impossible to do justice to what happened in Minab that day with words alone. In more than 25 years in journalism and reporting on war, I do not believe I have reported on a more heinous single crime.

There was this documentary on Netflix about the L'Oréal heiress who got scammed out of $1.3B by her gay ex-friend. She started with a net worth of like $16B and by the end of the doc (years later) her net worth was $44B

You don’t want to pursue your creative dreams but there are descendants of slave owners and chemical weapons manufacturers who are reggaeton DJs in London.
Happy 10 year anniversary to Moodna, Once with Grace, the first song I ever officially released on my own as Gus Dapperton. After collaborating with @itsbongoboy on a music video for the song Faceless, we were itching to make another one. I had Moodna in the works for awhile, having written the guitar riff when I was 16, but I swiftly picked it back up and finished recording it in my Drexel University dorm room when I found out that @itsbongoboy had some equipment rentals leftover from another shoot that we could “borrow”. Before the shoot i botched my hair in the Meyers co-ed bathroom and gave myself my first bowl-cut as an adult. Another fun fact is that Moodna, Once with Grace is named after a scenic train overpass (Moodna Viaduct) that i would go take photos at sometimes while growing up in upstate New York. Some might say i fell in love there.
You can just say "lover." You don't have to call it a situationship. I know younger folks think that's cringe.
But I strongly suspect it's also about internalization of sex/romance needing to be in service of some future, structure, tangible social capital to be valid.
For over a year, boxes containing 900 wheelchairs meant for people in Gaza have been sitting in a warehouse because Israel won’t let them in, classifying the wheelchairs as “potential weapons”
Jack Haven from Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma and I Saw the TV Glow is desperately in need of work so they don't lose their SAG health insurance by the end of the month. spread the word so the right people can help them out!
They assassinated an entire generation of revolutionary Black leaders and replaced them with a class of tap dancing “Black capitalists”
That’s why we’re having these conversations now & folks have the gall to defend Black billionaires who profit from selling us out
it’s wild that the heritage foundation wrote in text that the assault on trans woman particularly in sports is their first step in their efforts to completely abolish all Title IX protections and liberals still don’t believe it’s about more than trans women in sports
