The Health Protection Agency (HPA), in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) and Dharumavantha Hospital, successfully conducted a Training of Trainers (ToT) on the Clinical Management of Measles, Dengue, and Influenza.

The training strengthened participants’ capacity in clinical management, infection prevention and control, surveillance, and outbreak preparedness, enabling them to support healthcare workers across the Maldives.

Working together to prevent injuries and save lives.

The Health Protection Agency (HPA), with support from WHO Maldives, has brought together key partners to strengthen injury prevention across the Maldives.

The workshop focused on reviewing road safety progress, improving drowning prevention efforts, and identifying practical actions to reduce preventable injuries.

The Health Protection Agency and @WHOMaldives successfully conducted multi-sectoral meetings with the Addu City Council, Addu Equatorial Hospital (AEH), and the Addu Police Service to strengthen unintentional injuries.

Discussions focused on road safety, data-driven injury surveillance, emergency response optimization, and safer infrastructure. Moving forward, partners have committed to integrating injury prevention directly into local planning and development projects to build a safer community!
