@kunal_twts That´s most probably to create dependency. Once they reach a certain number of free users, they start charging. And enough of those ex-free users, will pay as to have made it all worth for Oracle.
@TheSpacerr Asking the AI owners and its interested parties about the future of AI is as imbecile as asking the CEO of Ford about the future of Ford, or asking the North Korea dictator about the future of NK. What the hell are they going to say? Their opinions are entirely irrelevant.
@levelsio That' genuinely nice. Social media and tech in general are the biggest isolation traps, and that is specially true for digital nomads. Real human interaction is great for your mental health and for fostering serendipity.
My Codex agent in VSCode replaced the model selection for this. Has this happened to everyone else?
The options are "Light", "Medium", "High" and "Extra-High". Which one is faster? Which one consumes more tokens?
@petecodes You are not alone in the age thing. I´m 46. Been there a week ago for the first time. Loved it, and the surrouding nature for hiking! Currently in Madrid, building 3 projects at once.
@RossKempsell@PoliteiaUK Its always fun to watch England bleed millions of much needed £ movilizing resources to islands that will always be 8,000 miles from their home, all for nothing, since Argentina has no intention of initiating hostilities, nor an army that could pose a credible threat.
@uday_devops I tried it but, given the structural deficiencies of AI all heavy users know (lack of accountability, short-memory span, tendency to avoid guardrails, etc) I decided the amount of control I was giving it, was too much. It´s just not worth the risk.
@_deepakss_ When you use AI in the way we do, and see its limitations, you realize how ridiculous those statements are.
The ones making those claims are always interested parties: people whose opinion is 100% biased. Its like asking about Ford's future to the CEO of Ford.
Has anyone catched GPT trying to off his workload into Codex?
In my case, GPT translates articles and gives me the prompt for Codex to implement the texts in VSCode. But I often catch GPT trying to make Codex translate, thus, wasting tokens in a task that GPT should be performing
@Lordmiles It´s always fun to watch England bleed millions of pounds to move resources to islands that are 8,000 miles from their home over some remark Argentina makes with absolutely no intention of escalating.
@stemonteduro As an uncle of mine said: things are meant to be at the service of people, not the other way around.
Having said that: there´s nothing wrong with caring for the thing so that it lasts a bit longer in your service, and it can even be traded for another thing at some point.
Dumb question: how is a GPT agent different from a GPT folder?
Both these "entities" scan the conversations within their realm, accept a knowledge base, and give answers informed by these two things. But what makes them different?
