In April 2026, I had forecast the return of affordable 1BHK homes in Mumbai. The 1st shot has been fired in Chandak Group's Chembur project. An ad of 1BHK at INR 99.99 lakhs+ with 10:90 scheme floating on digital media. Others will soon have to follow. The Middle-Class is back
In 12 years, I have never seen PM Modi Ji display such a fierce avatar.
Those who mistake India’s democracy for an opportunity to spread anarchy should take note.
The nation is watching, and the days ahead will speak for themselves. 🔥
Generational fumble by Ranka & Das to venture into Jantar Mantar with a Tiranga that morning.
Plan was to get detained, cry hoarse about no freedom to hoist Tiranga, and in the cloak of this faux nationalism, call for another protest. This time with a Tiranga.
Two lawyers f*cked their plan.
One their own - who couldn’t get them out on a bailable offence and ended up with 5 days JC. 2nd lawyer - Prashant Bhushan, who went on a rant and said the unsaid words which the cockroaches were trying to cover up with a tiranga. In absence of Ranka & Das, their leader Dipke who has the personality of a wet kitchen mop, fucked up. Now Delhi police has all the moral & legal backing to do seva tomorrow.
Andheri East is a quarantine center.
A camp for all migrant white-collar workers to check themselves in, get acclimatised with Mumbai, at a relatively lesser cost. Every management trainee, a first jobber, will look for a place here, a room to share with other white collars. A place where they can stay, and still be able to pay their Education loan EMIs.
With Mumbai’s Gurgaon - Powai an auto-ride away. And a local train station to venture into the south, to feel poorer. And sadder in the mist of the sea. The Auto-walas here teach you how to handle rejection.
Lassi, Dosas, or the most popular Daal khichdi. Everything available nearby. A hair saloon with Anil Kapoor & Sanjay Dutt painted on the shop-board. It feels like home. Marol, Sher-e-Punjab, Mahakali or Chandiwali. Everybody has some memories associated with these hell-holes 🥲
People first escape their smalltowns to come here, and then they escape Andheri East. That’s the story of life, while you read this at the nearest Jughead’s gulping pocket friendly beer. :)
No city has the work ethic like Mumbai.
100s of people can turn up at a location from 50kms away, work 16 hours at a stretch, with zero errors, in perfect coordination with barely anyone calling in sick, or taking a downtime and then go home at 2am. The public transport, the safety and security totally supports this work-life. This may sound toxic to an average Joe, but people are just so driven with no entitlement. That’s why it’s the richest city.
Growing up in Mumbai, I always thought the closer your home was to a suburban railway station, the more valuable or premium it was...
But real estate advertisements are making me question that assumption.
Apartments in the suburbs along Link Road and the Western Express Highway, particularly those close to Metro stations, appear to be commanding a premium in Mumbai real estate.
And every time I think about this shift, it amuses me.
Once you explicitly request "Battery Service," they will run a diagnostic.
As long as the test confirms your battery capacity has dropped below 80%, their official policy allows them to replace each earbud for just $49 (or $0 if you have AppleCare+).
Finally! The BJP did after 12 years what I voted for them to do on day 1. Hopefully we don’t have to endure more dirty Shaheen Bugs & Feudal Farm Landlords’ disruptions anymore.
ANI reporter tracked the flight booked by Abhijeet Dipke, Ashutosh Ranka, and Saurav Das, got a seat in the row behind them and was already ready with a camera and mic when the police arrived, as if they had predicted exactly what was going to happen. Crazy dedication to the job!
