Today National Forum "Healthy #Ukraine 2030: Strategy, Partnership, European Horizon" took place in Uzhhorod, organized by @MoH_Ukraine and @WHOUkraine with support of the European Union @EU_Commission and @Enabel_Belgium focused on how Ukraine can advance European integration.
We started the 4th #WHOBarcelona Course on Health Financing Policy for universal health coverage in #Ukraine, bringing together > 50 participants from @MoH_Ukraine, @NSZU_gov, regional health authorities, healthcare providers, universities, civil society organizations & partners.
6 healthcare facilities in Kyiv were damaged during last night’s attack in Ukraine, affecting the delivery of essential health services. Following a rapid needs assessment, WHO began distributing trauma, emergency, surgical kits to support health workers providing lifesaving care
Over the past 24 hours, attacks across Kharkiv region killed 3 people and injured 33 others. In response, WHO Ukraine delivered trauma and emergency care supplies to Kharkiv Regional Hospital. Supported by @NORAD, WHO continues supporting lifesaving health services in emergencies
Tonight, Kyiv came under one of largest attacks since the RF invasion in Feb 2022. Debris from one of many strikes reached our building - home to many UN agencies in the capital - damaging windows on the 3rd floor of WHO Ukraine. Our office reopens Monday. Our work continues.

A national dialogue on the role and scope of practice of PHC doctors in mental health, organized by @WHOUkraine and @MoH_Ukraine, brought together PHC workers, psychiatrists, and professional associations to develop solutions for advancing mental health care at the PHC level.
Today kicks off the 3rd Primary Health Care (PHC) Conference in Kyiv, organized by @WHOUkraine & partners. Over 500 PHC professionals, health authorities & international partners gather to discuss the current situation and main priorities in future of PHC during & after the war.

In Geneva, I signed the Biennial Collaborative Agreement 2026–2027 with Dr Viktor Liashko, Minister of Health of Ukraine.
Our collaboration will focus on:
▶️keeping essential health services available, especially near frontline and hard-to-reach areas
▶️ strengthening primary health care, rehabilitation, mental health, immunization and services for noncommunicable diseases
▶️ advancing health security and supporting Ukraine’s path toward EU health standards
This agreement supports the implementation of the WHO–Ukraine Country Cooperation Strategy 2024–2030 over the next two years, with a focus on response, recovery and reform.
.@WHOUkraine, together with partners, continues to implement systemic changes to combat antimicrobial resistance. The first step of mentoring and technical support to institutions providing inpatient care is completed, and the next are planned to strengthen implemented practices.
