Years back I read "Joothan" by Omprakash Valmiki ji, and it changed my worldview completely.

The title itself says everything, joothan is the leftover scraps off other people's plates, the food Dalits were made to eat in these "pure" villages.

In that book he describes the moment he discovers his own humanity. And it only happens after he leaves his village, Barla, to escape severe caste oppression and find a place where he isn't reduced to his caste.

The city has its own evils, sure. But Dehat is the worst, and there's a reason.

Ambedkar said it best, when he called the Indian village a sink of localism, a den of ignorance and narrow-mindedness.

His point was structural: in the village everyone knows your jaati, your family, your "place." There's no anonymity, no exit, no way to remake yourself.

The city at least lets you disappear and become someone. Dehat is hell. Absolute hell for the majority of people.

We Savarnas carry this romantic, poetic image of the Indian village. In reality it's the most regressive, casteist, feudal, misogynist piece of shit there is.

And hence, Modi is Dehat.

लवकुश मिश्रा 6 महीने पहले राम मंदिर में ड्यूटी करना शुरू किया। दान में आए पैसों को गिनने का काम मिला।

अब आप सोचिए कोई व्यक्ति महज 6 महीने पहले मंदिर से जुड़ा और इतनी बड़ी चोरी कर गया। लवकुश के जैसे दर्जनों लोग हैं, कुछ और के बारे में भी पता चला कि उन्होंने करोड़ों के प्लॉट खरीदे हैं।

अभी तक न किसी के खिलाफ FIR हुई है और न ही मंदिर की तरफ से इस पूरे गबन पर अपनी बात कही गई। दान गिनती का सीसीटीवी फुटेज भी डिलीट है। साल में एकात बार ये लोग बताते हैं। जबकि दूसरे मंदिर में इससे ज्यादा पारदर्शिता है।

इस पूरे मामले ने राम मंदिर की व्यवस्था पर बहुत बड़ा सवाल खड़ा कर दिया। इसके पहले ट्रस्ट ने जब जमीनें खरीदी थी तब भी ऐसे मामले सामने आए थे। कोई कार्रवाई नहीं हुई थी।

I said it last year too and will say it again, if you are picking PETROL NA 1.5 or 1.2 from Maruti or 1.5 or 1.2 i-VTEC from Honda, stay stress free. These engines will be tolerant against poor fuel quality and non compliant ethanol blends for Indian conditions. Stick to fewer petrol pumps and prefer to have 20% tank full all the time.

Not performance oriented engines like Turbo Petrols but best for Indian conditions where now travelling from A to B is a big thing in a car peacefully.

मेरी बहन का जब मेडिकल में सेलेक्शन हुआ, उसके पहले दो साल असफल प्रयास थे । पापा नौकरी पेशा थे और तीनों बच्चे बाहर रहकर पढ़ रहे थे तो घर में किसी तरह गरीबी में मां बाप जी रहे थे ।

स्थिति ठीक चलती थी पर परीक्षा के दिनों में पापा को हम बहुत परेशान देखते थे । बेटी को लेकर शहर दर शहर स्लीपर ट्रेन में गर्मी में घूमना , स्लीपर ट्रेन इसलिए क्योंकि
एसी कोच के पैसे नहीं थे । तमाम दिक्कतें । लड़की ज़ात, उसीमें पीरियड शुरु हो जाते थे । खोलकर इसलिए लिख रहा हूं ताकि दिक्कत का अंदाज़ा आपको हो सके ।प्रकट रूप से जो दिक्कतें होती हैं उसके अलावा ऐसी दिक्कते हैं जिसका अंदाज़ा भी आप नहीं लगा सकते यदि आप खुद ही उसी संघर्ष से न गुज़र रहे हों ।

इतने संघर्ष के बाद खबर आती थी , कहीं नहीं हुआ । और अगले दिन से फिर वही संघर्ष शुरु ।

खैर मेरे घर पर ईश्वर की कृपा हुई, मेरी बहन तीसरे साल आलमोस्ट हर जगह टॉप कर गई । वर्द्धा जैसी जगह जहां जेनरल की सिर्फ तीन सीटें होती हैं, वहां भी मेरी बहन टॉप कर गई ।

ये सारा इसलिए बताया क्योंकि एक बच्चे के सेलेक्शन के लिए उसका परिवार घिस रहा होता है । मेरे पापा के पास तो अच्छी नौकरी थी, वो संघर्ष था पर संभालने लायक संघर्ष था । पर कई घरों में इस बात का इंतज़ार होता है कि इस बार सेलेक्शन हो जाएगा तो अच्छा खाना बनेगा । और अच्छे खाने का मतलब सेवन कोर्स मील नहीं है , कुछ मीठा, पनीर की सब्ज़ी ।

तो जो लोग कह रहे हैं 22 लाख बच्चों का एग्जाम कैंसल हुआ , जी न - एक करोड़ लोगों का जीवन आपने बर्बाद किया । ये क्रिमिनल है ।

हर आदमी के संघर्ष का मज़ाक है ।

मेरे बहनोई के पापा दिल्ली में कार्ट पर पानी बेचते थे । पचास पैसा ग्लास । मेरे बहनोई वहां से उठकर मेडिकल टॉप किया । तो आप जब इस तरह की कोई चीज़ करते हैं तो तय कर देते हैं कि फिर किसी पानी बेचने वाले का बेटा डॉक्टर न बने । पानी ही बेचे ।

My theory on MS Dhoni:

He has decided to retire before IPL 2026 as his body wasn't capable of playing another season. He informed CSK that he won’t be playing anymore and asked them to buy Sanju Samson as his replacement. Management requested him not to announce his retirement before this IPL as they would lose a lot of brand endorsements and fans wouldn't come to stadium, leading to huge financial losses.

So technically Dhoni is already retired, he just hasn’t announced it publicly yet

His name was Amit Jethwa.

He was 35 years old. From Khambha village in Amreli, Gujarat.

He grew up near the Gir forest. The only place on earth where Asiatic lions still survive in the wild. He gave his life protecting it.

Most people do not know this. He was one of the key activists whose eight-year pursuit led to Salman Khan's conviction for poaching a Chinkara deer inside Gir.

From 2008, he filed six RTI applications exposing an illegal mining lobby operating inside protected areas around Gir. He named a sitting Member of Parliament, Dinu Solanki, in his filings. He filed a Public Interest Litigation in the Gujarat High Court.

On July 20 2010, he came to the High Court to file one final affidavit. It stated his life was in danger from Dinu Solanki.

He filed it. He walked out of the Satyamev Complex at 8:30 PM.

Two men on a motorcycle shot him at close range. Even after being hit, he grabbed the kurta of one attacker. The kurta had a laundry tag. The tag led to Junagadh.

A police vehicle was parked outside. Two officers heard the shot. They did not pursue the killers.

He was killed outside the gates of the very court he had come to seek protection from.

Gujarat Police gave the MP a clean chit. The Gujarat High Court called the investigation far from fair and transferred the case to the CBI in 2012.

In 2019, the CBI court convicted Dinu Solanki and six others. Life imprisonment.

In May 2024, the Gujarat High Court acquitted all seven.

The court said the investigation was a clear eyewash from the beginning. All efforts were made to ensure the truth is buried forever. It quoted Satyamev Jayate. Truth must triumph. Then it let everyone go free.

Amit Jethwa's father, Bhikhabhai, is 80 years old. He is still fighting.

No one has been punished for his son's murder.

His name was R Akash Delison.

He was 26 years old. An engineering graduate from Sivaganga district in Tamil Nadu.

On March 6 this year 10 police officers in plain clothes came to his home and took him away.

He was accused of attacking two men. A case that needed investigation and a courtroom.

Instead he gave a dying declaration to a magistrate.

In it he described how police blindfolded him, placed his legs on stones, covered them with a wet sack, and beat them repeatedly with an iron rod.

Police said he fell from a bridge while trying to escape.

He died on March 8. 48 hours after arrest.

He never saw a courtroom.

Yesterday India celebrated a custodial death conviction.

Akash Delison’s family is still waiting for one.

There are hundreds of families still waiting.
