One of the most important jobs of a leader is to create an environment where people can be their best and do their best work. A leader works to remove obstacles to success and should never be the obstacle.
In a sense leading change is a team sport. We lead not so people can follow, but to help others believe in themselves and their unique abilities to empower the collective. Only together can greatness be achieved.
Positive leaders are demanding without being demeaning. They challenge, inspire and encourage others to improve and accomplish more than they would on their own.

Teams often break down because of bad communication. They give up because of discouragement, lose momentum because they don’t have a vision and purpose, and crumble because of negativity and jealousy. The answer is to become a positive, united, purpose driven, selfless team.
To build powerful relationships with all learners:
1. Love your kids more than the subject you teach and/or the grade level you work with.
2. Use feedback and positive reinforcement as the main learning motivator, not grades or marks.
3. Be empathetic.
Thought for the day: Educators who are dreamers & disruptors live in a "What if?" world. They encourage staff & students to focus on the part that asks, "What if we went for it? What if we did this instead? What if we allowed ourselves & S's to be different?" ...via #Culturize

mechanics of a task but to spark a curiosity that empowers students to learn on their own. To wonder. To explore. To become leaders.
...if students leave school less curious than when they
started, we have failed them."
Positive teams don’t just have fun together. They pursue greatness together. They believe the best is yet to come so they give their best to create the best outcome.
