We’re at an inflection point with unpopular sentiment against Flock. If we don’t nip this in the bud and get Flock shut down now then the moment will be gone and this kind of surveillance will be forever normalized. Unfortunately I don’t see the Patriot Act nation fixing it.

All demands for Flock to be removed must come with prohibition on all other surveillance systems.
Do the job in full.
While you're at it, pass prohibitions on city and county officials from entering into NDAs with vendors.
I asked Piers what the UK would do if Russia and China were arming violent militants to attack police stations across Britain in a bid for regime change
That's exactly what Iran faced last January at the hands of Mossad and CIA-armed rioters

Walter Cronkite: After liberating execution camps… Germans (who cried) they didn’t know…were as as guilty as Nazis…because they applauded when Hitler shut down (media) and said, ‘We don’t need to know. We trust our government...’

Batman The Dark Knight was released in 2008
In the film Batman hands Lucius Fox a super computer that taps into all the cell phones in Gotham and turns them into a mass surveillance network that could see and hear everything done by anyone in Gotham
Lucius Fox took one look at the system and said, "No one should have this kind of power". And everyone watching the movie fully understood why. Even if used to find someone as dangerous as The Joker, the trampling of everyone's privacy wasn't worth the cost
So why now just 18 years later would anyone welcome the Flock camera network that basically does the same thing in real life?
In fact, the system from the movie gave only a real time look at the people of Gotham. The Flock network creates a searchable database so you can see where everyone traveled to and from historically. It is worse that the system from Batman, and some people still embrace it
