@PixScienceCo Also, I got to (had to? 😂) teach during my master's degree which really improved my public speaking skills. And we don't have undergrads at my current institution so we don't do any teaching here. Definitely glad I got that experience.

@PixScienceCo A PhD is a big undertaking so for me, getting my master's degree got me more time in the lab which gave me more confidence that a career in research was something I really wanted to pursue. It did not shorten my time to PhD at all but for me, the extra experience was worth it.
