Love the tactical aspect of the game. Teaching myself how to analyse football matches. Open to any feedback aswell as recommendations for free tools I can use.
This game has been a perfect example so far of why wingers high and wide are so important. So many occasions where our attacks have had to stop or be forced through the middle due to relying on Dalot/Dorgu for that width, with Mount & Cunha both narrow. Lacey needed. #MUFC
@Exhoolie46 The problem is that Dalot is effectively LW in possession (due to system) and is a huge bottleneck for our attacks. Inevitably he will get a lot of the ball with us being unable to play in central areas often.
We look hopeless at breaking down a low block, constantly resorting to crosses. Rarely combinations in the final 3rd, particularly in central areas. Whatever Amorimโs philosophy is, is not something I like watching, it relies too heavily on individual brilliance. #mufc
1 natural CB in a back 3 does slightly worry me, especially them being an inexperienced 19 y/o.
But Iโve liked what Iโve seen from Heaven so far and do see him being our starting LCB in the future. Will need support from the experience around him, but a big night for him. #mufc
Tonight is a real opportunity to show weโre serious about getting top 4 this season. Just a win isnโt enough, the performance has to be there too. Front foot, aggressive, clinical. Response needed after Everton. Ideally 3/4 goals and a clean sheet. #MUNWHU#MUFC
This was the pitch as Zirkzee wins the flick on into Dalot which leads to the freekick we win the game from. Mount drops to show feet, Zirkzee drifts wide and Dalot inverts in behind. Amad pushing high creates overload for Mitchell. Good involvement from both wing backs. #mufc
Zirkzeeโs link up play has been a lot better second half, Amad pushing further up on the right has allowed Mbeumo to drift inside and give Zirkzee freedom to roam
