Fasting has both physical and mental health benefits! It lowers cholesterol, detoxifies the body, increases metabolism, and more. Fasting is also not meant to bring hardship upon those who are not able to do it.
Fasting has been made obligatory for Muslims by God, the most Gracious and the most Merciful. We benefit by practicing patience, self-discipline, and closeness to God.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Ramadan is here! It is a time of where we reflect and better ourselves. We challenge you to experience fasting with us this Friday, April 23rd! Share your experience on social media by tagging @wichitamda and by adding #fastadayMDA!
Join us this Monday at 6 p.m. on Zoom for a panel on how to support your Muslim peers during the holy month of Ramadan! Our beautifully brilliant ChangeMakers will be hosting this panel! We hope to see you there!
