More than 1.5 million dozen eggs have been recalled over concerns of possible Salmonella contamination.

Midwest Poultry Services recalled white shell and brown cage-free eggs produced at its Texas farms and sold under brands including Kroger, Simple Truth, Brookshire’s, Country Morning and Cal-Maine Sunups. The affected eggs have sell-by or best-by dates ranging from July 20 through August 17, 2026. (U.S. Food and Drug Administration⁠)

The FDA says the outbreak has been linked to 98 illnesses across 17 states, with 26 people hospitalized and no deaths reported. Consumers are being urged not to eat, sell or serve the recalled eggs
