did y'all see the pattern
bts won vma - created kpop category
bts won bbma - created kpop category
bts won ama - created kpop category
bts nominated for grammys - created asian category
as joon said "For Asia, man, we paved the way" THEY LITERALLY DID.
BTS PAVED THE WAY
thinking abt these kpop artists POSSIBLY getting nominated in the same category as BTS when they haven't even experienced half of what BTS had to go through to get to where they are now just doesn't sit right w/ me
LA has the largest Mexican, Thai, Korean, Iranian, Salvadoran, Armenian Filipino, and Cambodian communities outside of those countries. SGV is the largest concentration of combined Chinese and Taiwanese in the U.S. yet people on this app will tell you there’s no good food there.
> beyonce ganha pelo cowboy carter
> grammy cria uma categoria separando o country "tradicional" do country "contemporâeno"
> bad bunny ganha
> grammy cria categoria "melhor musica latina"
> bts comeback
> grammy ja cria uma categoria pra artista asiático
só não vê quem não quer
This is what the term 'PAVING THE WAY' actually means btw,, a whole "Asian Pop" category introduced by the Grammys solely to segregate & exclude #BTS from the main categories despite them out-performing every single American Act with "ARIRANG" this year both on charts & critics score,,
Same methodology was applied by all the other western award shows (BBMAs, PCAs, VMAs, AMAs) that introduced a whole new "K-pop" Category after 2018-19,,
Yall deny "BTS PAVED THE WAY" out of bitterness while your faves keep reaping the fruits of their efforts,,
bts BEEN a threat to american music industry so ofc they gon try their hardest to separate them from main categories as long as the industry plants & mediocre white artists don't get snubbed
