You will have heard it said Jump jockeys are a different breed Their athleticism is incredible, if I was Willie’s son I would bloody fall off, not be top amateur. It’s a tough sport & he mixes it with the best imo.

@skyndray @RacingPost I think that’s a fair question … and them actually winning as rare as hen’s teeth. I guess the owner wanted a runner but ultimately he went wrong on the flat, which can and heartbreakingly does happen anywhere with horses, not just racing. RIP Hansard
