I can't explain it, but it seems your fortune changes based on your location. That is why a moving man meets his luck. Keep moving and don't be static. When you find your place, consolidate. A word is too much for the wise.
The fact that you think price will not get to a certain level just because you're in a trade translates to you being self centered.
Price will get to where it wants to whether or not you have a position open so you might as well get in if you get an opportunity.
Unclench your butt cheeks and HOLD.
2017 me has a sales job and figures out working for myself is better even if I get paid less. So I start a business and lose a ton of money but I get experience out of it.
2018 me starts a YouTube channel. It fails. Nobody watches it for six months. So I get better at YouTube.
2019 me makes money but hits a ceiling. Couple grand a month. So I go faceless. Those take off. I make $42k in a single month.
Then I realize I'm doing all the work myself and I just built another job. So I outsource it, the people I hired sucked, and the channels drop to $10k a month.
Then I hire good people. Then I hit the next ceiling. And the cycle keeps repeating.
Now I make 300k+ a month at 27.
Finding out how stupid you were is part of the process of entrepreneurship and it does get better
Price only moves for 4 reasons:
1. To create liquidity
2. To take out liquidity
3. To use up liquidity
4. To balance out liquidity
That’s the entire cycle.
Your job is just to get in at the RIGHT TIME
I think every trader should go see The Odyssey.
Odysseus’ journey home is like yours in the markets.
You face challenges, and along the path you find your true character and purpose.
He only made it home when he submitted to Poseidon and let the sea carry him.
You don’t control the market. You control the ship.
Accept the unpredictable. Sail anyway.
A simple prayer i take before every trading day…
God give me the patience to wait for clean setups and remain calm under the stress of drawdown. Allow me to have the strength to walk away at any time if I should not take action
Works every time
Choosing to go
to the movies means that we are choosing to not do all the other things with
our time that we might do during that two hours.
Whether you are a forex trader, a school teacher or even a meat seller it is a very clear understanding that you are a bettor.
All decisions are bets
Our traditional view of betting is very narrow: casinos, sporting events,
lottery tickets, wagering against someone else on the chance of a favorable
outcome of some event.
Every decision commits us
to some course of action that, by definition, eliminates acting on other
alternatives.
Not placing a bet on something is, itself, a bet.
No matter how far we get from the familiarity of betting at a poker
table or in a casino, our decisions are always bets.
We routinely decide
among alternatives, put resources at risk, assess the likelihood of different
outcomes, and consider what it is that we value.
