Day 3 of our ocean week, this morning we are learning about the seashore code. @wideyseahorse @wideyshark

We have been busy learning about the Seashore Code this morning. @wideyshark @wideyseal

Today, to celebrate world ocean day and continuing our science ocean week, we discussed the seashore code using a miniature coastline. The children had many wonderful ideas about how we can care for our amazing coast 🌊🐚🦀❤️ @wideyseahorse @wideyseal

We also tried some oceanic foods! So proud of the children for giving them a try ⭐️🐟🐠🦐

Yesterday, we were investigating marine food chains 🐟 🦈. We then sorted some interesting fish into categories of ‘you could eat’ and ‘you couldn’t eat’. We were very surprised to hear about some of the things people eat around the world! 🍱 @wideyseal @wideyseahorse

We’re working with some of our friends from @wideyshark and @wideyseal this afternoon. We have investigated the role of harbour walls and how boats can be safely moored inside harbours like Mousehole. 🌊

We worked with different children from @wideyseahorse and @wideyseal today to learn about and discuss Mousehole, harbours, waves and we even held a class debate about the benefits and risks of living by the seaside.

We then headed to the harbour where we shared the story of ‘The Mousehole Cat’ while sat snug in our Year 2 boat 🛶🌊🌬

A parcel arrived this morning consisting of Mowzer the cat along with his story and a letter 🐈 📜📖🌊🌬
