Following on from our Picture News assembly, we wanted to learn Sign Language as some high schools will make this a GCSE option in 2025!

Year 1 Victorian School Day!A trip back through time today with boys and girls entrances, choosing 'Victorian' names for ourselves, chanting our timetables, copying out our class rules onto our chalkboards, cleanliness hand checks, drills, a drawing lesson and EVEN a dunces cap!

As the Silver jubilee Bridge is right next to our school and can be seen from classroom windows, this was a really exciting project for the children of Widnes Academy to be a part of. Mrs Kirchin

We started our Anti-Bullying week today with an assembly. This year's Anti-Bullying week focuses on the difference between 'banter v bullying' and we will discuss this further in class.
