ハンダラとは1938年にパレスチナで生まれた風刺漫画家ナージー・アル・アリーのキャラクター。彼の描く一コマ漫画にはいつも背中を向けた少年が、世界の惨事をじっと見つめています。ナージーは生涯に4万枚以上(!)の風刺画を描き、1987年にロンドンで暗殺されました。50歳でした。
　現在でもパレスチナの街のさまざまな場所に描かれている「抵抗と解放」のシンボルです。

　先日イタリアでは漫画家80人が自分自身の漫画のキャラクターの後ろ姿を描き「旗を掲げず、ハンダラと団結してすべての戦線での即時停戦を要求」するキャンペーンをしました。日本でも多くの人々が自分たちには何ができるか、停戦するにはどうしたら良いのかを考えながらデモやボイコット、署名、スタンディング等さまざまな行動を起こしています。わたくしは漫画家として、このイタリアの活動に協働します。ご賛同頂ける漫画家の皆様、後ろ姿のキャラクターを是非ご寄稿ください。#withHandala、もしくは[email protected] まで作家名、ご自身のキャラクター後ろ姿の画像を添付しメッセージを送って頂くようお願いいたします。

以下は個人的な話です。

　小さい頃小さい頃、BSで朝やっていた世界のニュースをよく観ていました。カタール・アルジャジーラは連日、パレスチナでの死者数をカウントしていました。あまりにも連日なのにショックを受けたのに、小学校では誰も関心がないので再びショックを受けました。
　その後、中高校生になりチョムスキーやエドワード・サイードの著作を読むようになりました。サイードは当時難しかったのですが、チョムスキーは割合読めたので、神田の古書店で見つけては読んでました。
　日本はイスラエルと同じくアメリカの同盟国です。それで、この問題は喉につっかえた骨のように気になり続けてました。
　今回の企画者に名を連ねているのは、長年の友人で画家の松下真理子さんによるところが大きいです。
　彼女は今年、アウシュヴィッツから、パレスチナへと色々なところへ旅行してました。一旦秋に帰国して、またパレスチナへ行く計画だったはず。彼女が次行くときは、私も一緒に行きたいとも伝えていました。その直後にハマスの事件が起きたのです。
　SNSに連日流れる悲痛な映像を前に、ただ途方にくれるばかり。そんな中で、このイタリアの漫画家たちの活動を知ったのです。

　ただ解説がないと難しいタイプの漫画です。日本語版は『パレスチナに生まれて』（いそっぷ社）から発行されおります。こちらは年譜をはじめ、詳しい解説がついております。

　この世界は暴力と矛盾に満ち満ちています。

@krystalshanelle Tsunade is the only well written women in the show. I think Konan is a missed opportunity. She's so bad ass and has agency. She almost took down Obito!
But ya this all goes into my head cannon that Kishi is in the closet.
