@bartendermakino@tetsurozmalt I've seen a few YouTube types call it the Pappy Van Winkle of Scotch. While I don't know if that's an accurate analogy it certainly engageds people who chase bottles because of rarity instead of other factors.
@d_tao@kypeerless Great interview man! Hope you go back on sometime soon and go deep/nerdy into the details, they really love that stuff! And be aware Nancy will probably be there in chat again hahaha
Is an "Old Fashion" a cocktail in Japan? Obviously it's ubiquitous here in the US, but even then the recipe at bars varies (don't even ask what they do in Wisconsin ๐)
If it is, how do the Japanese bars typically make it?

@dimitrishadow@BAR_Oshiri Starlight is amazing, and I tell everyone that goes to KY for Bourbon to make a trip to their place in Borden since it's less than 45min from Whiskey Row.
I love their Mizunara, and had one of their Wheat whiskies that was ๐ฅ
@WagayaLina I'm curious which American channels you've found and enjoyed! Are there any Japanese reviewers you'd recommend? I'm curious to see that side
@WagayaLina We have some great whisky YouTubers and "influencers" that will tell you their unfiltered opinion and we have the opposite that give positive reviews because they get paid or receive perks like free bottles etc. Most are the former imo and have great trustworthy content
Tonight's warm up pour and second pour. Eagle Rare 12yr is a step above the 10yr. And Peerless single barrels are 10/10 consistently ๐ฅ๐ค
๐ฅCheers!
