Gardener and keyboard musician. Enjoy Real Ale, and member of CAMRA. Also enjoy being out on the coast, collecting fossils, taking photos, or just walking!
Visited this great underground bar/cafe in Ryde last week. What a real gem this is! A combination of museum (no admission fees), collectables for sale, Real Ales, craft beers, and coffee shop!! Themed seating areas creating a lovely, cosy atmosphere.
The Smugglers CAT. #realale
@peacockreports I only collected 3mm from the thunderstorm yesterday evening (which I tried to intercept when coming back from Porchfield, but was too late!). Only a dribble in the gauge today, not measurable. On 9mm for May so far.
Wishing all my friends and followers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Stunning displays of Christmas lights. Around the island: Ash Lane, Goldcrest Close, Meadow Close, Bannock Road. #isleofwight
Last of the autumn colour. Longhalves and Stroud Coppice, Freshwater. Photos taken last Monday. I suspect today’s wild weather will finish it off! #freshwater#isleofwight
The Perna Bed at Atherfield Point, and some of the fossil oysters and coral embedded in the hard sandstone rock. The best way to collect is simply to look for loose specimens on the beach rather than using a hammer! #isleofwight
Coming up THIS WEEKEND, The Highdown Beer Festival! If you enjoy real ales and live music in a country pub setting, then this is for you!
