I know it shouldn't - BUT the constant framing of all 'people' as 'hardworking' really annoys me.

Or, are they suggesting that you're prescription price will only be frozen if you work more than 40 hours a week or arrive home covered in muck and sweat?

Hardworking people won't pay a penny more for prescriptions this year because we've frozen charges.

This follows our recent £617 million boost for community pharmacies, as we shift care from hospitals into the community through our Plan for Change.

An early morning trip into Alnwick today for an end of year Parkrun and potter round town. Lost my shoe in the mud, but was only 20s slower then the much more tarmacy Parkrun I did last weekend.

I'm glad I was cycling to and from work in Gateshead today and not arriving at Gateshead at 5pm to get a Metro home. Also a bit releived I don't have to worry about it again for 2 weeks.

No trains are running between Monument and Heworth in both directions.
Metro tickets and passes can be used on all Go North East bus services between Newcastle, Gateshead and Heworth.
A replacement bus service 900 is running in the affected area

Tonight's #granddesigns looks like it could be awesome and feels like a build from back in the day (slightly bonkers, help from mates, not a million pound budget) - I'm sure it's not the first Grand Designs water tower either.

Yippee, along with today's #granddesigns new series, my favourite annual hobby of shouting 'you daft so and sos' at the TV is also back when the builders inevitably do something ridiculous.

Been sat on a bus for 90 minutes and someone at the back has been playing music on their phones speaker for the entire journey. I am fighting the passive aggressive temptation to go and sit next to him and do the same and see how he reacts.
