why u butchering the opinion of al qurtubi lol?
Qurṭubī says: It is possible that this refers to the period when those women are in the Fire. Then, after they are brought out through the intercession and the mercy of Allah until there remains in it no one who said Lā ilāha illā Allāh, the women in Paradise will then be more numerous. At that point, each man will have two wives from the women of this world.
Source: al-Qurṭubī, al-Tadhkirah.
If you read, you get the point, when imām al-Qurṭubī is saying “women are fewer in paradise because..” it doesn’t negate that he believes they will be a majority afterwards, he’s just repeating the narration, yes they will be a minority and then become a majority after Allah ﷻ removes all the sinful among them from the hell-fire, which is the belief of al-Qurṭubī himself, as you can see.
@thedirtiestbulk@Haqiqatjou The saudi state had policies regarding their time and place, it has since been updated and reviewed by other scholars of Najd. What hasn’t been updated is them believing there is no limit to education, الحمد لله
She’s presenting a very silly argument. Addressing a Certain Narration of Slave Girls Serving with their Breasts “Showing”.
Al-Bayhaqi (may Allah have mercy on him) said in his Sunan (3222):
Abu’l-Qasim ‘Abd ar-Rahman ibn ‘Ubaydillah al-Hirafi told us in Baghdad: ‘Ali ibn Muhammad ibn az-Zubayr al-Kufi told us: al-Hasan ibn ‘Ali ibn ‘Affan told us: Zayd ibn al-Hubab told us, from Hammad ibn Salamah, who said: Thumamah ibn ‘Abdillah ibn Anas told me, from his grandfather Anas ibn Malik, who said:
“The slave women of ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) used to serve us bare-headed, with their hair coming down to their breasts.”
This is a HASAN hadith According to Albani (Irwa’ al-Ghalil 6/204)
However, there is a different form of this hadith which states “The slave women of ‘Umar used to serve us bare-headed, with their breasts jiggling and their ankles showing.”
The wording:
“with their breasts jiggling”
comes through the narration of Nasr ibn Tarif, who was severely criticised by the scholars of hadith.
It was said regarding him:
Yahya said:
“He is one of those who are known for fabricating hadiths.”
Al-Fallas said:
“He is one of those regarding whom there is consensus that they are liars and no report is to be narrated from them; one of them is Abu Jizzi al-Qassab Nasr ibn Tarif.”
See: Lisan al-Mizan (6/153).
Thus, the authentic version is only the narration mentioning:
“their hair coming down to their breasts.”
The meaning is that their hair would fall over their chests and move due to their quick movements while serving guests and working.
As for the wording mentioning “their breasts jiggling,” it is not sahih. Even if it were assumed authentic, scholars interpreted it in light of the first narration , meaning elderly women engaged in strenuous work, not young women displaying themselves.
The scholars clarified that this ruling (of slave women not covering) only applied when there was no fear of fitnah (temptation), corruption, or harassment.
Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
“Similarly, if there is the fear that a slave woman could cause temptation to others, then she must cover herself with a jilbab and observe hijab; men must avert their gaze from her and she must also avert her gaze.”
He further explained:
“There is nothing in the Qur’an or Sunnah to suggest that it is permissible to look at slave women, or that they should not observe hijab and may show their adornments. But the Qur’an does not give the same instructions to them as to free women. The Sunnah distinguishes between them and free women in practical terms, but there is no statement in the Sunnah to differentiate between them in words. Rather the custom of the believers was that free women would observe hijab, and slave women would not.”
He also stated:
“If a slave woman’s appearing uncovered and people’s looking at her would result in temptation, then that must be prevented, as in the case of other women.”
And:
“Hence if slave women and boys are beautiful and there is the fear that temptation may result from looking at them, the same ruling applies to them, as the scholars have stated.”
(Majmu‘ al-Fatawa 15/373–377)
@sakthivel_cit93@SagasofBharat it doesn’t say the hair is covering their breasts… do you lack reading skills? it says their hair was DOWN to there as in THAT long lol
I've just uploaded a video on the psychology of hadith rejectors, as a reaction to the recent trend. This may be one of my most important videos on the subject of hadith rejection.
“Making things up as we go along” 😭? muslims have discussed fiṭrah for over a thousand years. it means the innate disposition Allah created mankind upon, naturally disposed toward recognising and worshipping Him. NOBODY said babies are born knowing how to pray or consciously practising Islam 💀 “Revert” refers to returning to that original fiṭrah.
