We partnered with @Kukun_Ghana for a #WikiLovesPlaces photo walk in Osu Ako-Adjei, documenting places through geotagged photos. These photos will help improve free online maps, make local places easier to explore, and expand feely accessible knowledge about Ghana.πΈπ¬π

We hosted volunteers at the Work From Home Workspace to localize Suggestion Mode, a Wikimedia feature that gives helpful Wikipedia editing tasks, into Ghanaian Pidgin using Translatewiki. They translated all 110 interface messages of the feature!

As part of efforts to support Ghanaian language Wikipedias, we hosted a Ga Wikipedia Incubator Workshop on 20 June 2026. Participants learned to edit Wikipedia and created new articles for the Ga Wikipedia Incubator.
We were glad to support inclusive access to knowledge!
