the first version of jali ai from @jalilabs was minimal but packed β llm chat, 11 african languages translation, audio gen, research tools, diagram genβ¦ all crammed in.
few hundred users. ~70 active daily.
profit over months? nope. just hosting bills + maintenance.
mm had to pivot. introducing jali dot mo:
> a mostly self sustaining app for african language learning + pronunciation
features now:
> direct speech translation (from the lingua franca β twi, ga, ewe, fante, dagbani, yoruba + more)
> camera-based translation
> culture games (AI integration, & powered by @ghananlp)
going live soon.
next phase: refine. test. scale.
won't spoil the fun, but let me know what you think when it drops.
will be launching this under the proof of work campaign under @OFWAFRICA@wikitech_knust
