Check out the latest in @WSJ from our executive director @KLiamGray on why government schemes that spend millions to kill animals en masse is poor stewardship of our tax dollars and of wildlife.

🚨 JUST IN: Trump EPA Chief Lee Zeldin just moved to AXE cruel DOG and ANIMAL testing *permanently*
Why would a Democrat oppose this?!
"We announced 13 new approach methods having that approval from our agency, which allows us to continue that process of phasing out animal testing permanently. We're excited to do it!"
In @dcexaminer, @KLiamGray warns of the political costs of voting for “Save Our Bacon”:
“MAHA has already demonstrated its political clout, forcing Luna’s amendment to stop pro-pesticide policies; voting for the SOB Act could be ample ammunition when the MAHA primaries begin.”
Future generations won’t ask whether pigs deserved to move.
They’ll ask how we ever convinced ourselves that they didn’t.
@KLiamGray is right. Senate Republicans should oppose the nefarious Save Our Bacon Act.
Warning for Senate Republicans: MAHA voters oppose Save Our Bacon Act
"It is the exact type of consumer-be-damned special-interest-catering swamp provision that ignited the MAHA movement into action against the pro-pesticide policies[.]" @WilberforceInst

Update since the thread below. The Senate Ag Committee held a closed-door meeting last week, during which the committee’s chairman, Senator Boozman (R-AR) announced that he'll not include Save Our Bacon in the starting draft of the Senate farm bill.
That’s a real win — thanks to so many, SOB has become so controversial that even the committee chairman wants to avoid it.
But the fight is far from over. Even though SOB won’t be in the opening draft, individual senators on the Agriculture Committee can (and likely will) still try to add it back in through an amendment.
Please call your senators today and tell them: do not pass a Farm Bill that contains the SOB Act. The Capitol Switchboard: (202) 224-3121. Thank you.
“Prop. 12 protects animals in a way that I believe is good, meaningful, & becoming of our American values. But the question of the ‘Save Our Bacon Act’ isn’t whether or not Prop. 12 is a good law. The question is whether the federal government has the explicit Constitutional authority to override it.
Otherwise, per the 10th Amendment and Barry Goldwater, the goodness determination ‘lies not with the federal government, which is not sovereign, but with the people who are.’”

The SOB Act was bolstered in a recent hit job attacking @RepLuna.
In my latest in @townhallcom, I explain why Rep. Luna is right and why we need to tell the Senate to keep it out of the Farm Bill.

As Wilberforce Fellow @kovanderhart wrote about previously, U.S. “collaboration” with Chinese scientists often winds up being the U.S. funding Chinese labs to conduct heinous and unimaginably cruel animal experiments.

U.S. collaborations with Chinese scientists are dangerous, because all of those scientists are basically employed by the Chinese military, which often has interests opposed to our own. Sen. @RandPaul and I discuss.
While I'm incredibly proud to help lead the charge to save beagles across the country, I'm also co-sponsor of the Save America’s Forgotten Equines Act to ban horse slaughter and stop the export of American horses for slaughter abroad. Met with members of The Jockey Club to discuss this important bill.
As @wilberforceinst Fellow @MeghanEMiller15 writes in @dcexaminer, people are done with cruel animal experimentation — so why isn’t the government? And why are our tax dollars still funding it?
