@PalmerReport Elsewhere on the 538 site they have vote forecasts with margin of error data. The overlap in Oct./Nov. is pretty broad. Maybe this is a way of determining which races are still in play. (Not sure why these numbers are different from the other forecast.)

@sblemay@ottawaheartrob For example, adult cardiologists often don’t have experience with complex congenital heart disease that was repaired as a baby. On a personal level, adult hematologists sometimes didn’t want to manage my pediatric sickle cell patients when they got older. 2/2
@sblemay@ottawaheartrob Part of the issue is that for many pediatric health issues, the adult medicine counterparts don’t have the interest or knowledge to manage those issues when pediatric patients transition to adulthood. 1/2
@ottawaheartrob My favorite move on rounds was to ask, “What can we get rid of today?” I think there’s a bias to add and continue therapies, and a barrier to stopping treatments even when they aren’t useful anymore.
Looking for a recipe for biscuits and gravy in Southern cookbooks. In one index, there’s no entry for “biscuit”, but there is an entry for “bok choy”.
Looks like the South is trying to lure me back.
(There was also an entry for “scones”. Maybe they want more Brits, too.)
@RudeMechanic@wortheffort_sg Trying to figure out if I need to survive the impact of the beans on my GI tract, or the wrath of Texans from my allowing chili to come in contact with legumes.
I think the answer is yes.
@Faraj_RegAnesth@ottawaheartrob Somewhat related — one time I saw a group of efficiency experts show up in our PICU, and they asked if we really needed all the different sizes of ET tubes. That was hilarious.
