🚨 Big news for Taylor and Williamson County.
Taylor isn’t just getting one Samsung semiconductor fabrication plant…
It’s getting a second.
Samsung has confirmed it plans to break ground on Fab 2 before the end of 2026, while production at Fab 1 is expected to begin in the coming months.
The scale of this project is hard to overstate:
🔹 Approximately 1,200-acre campus
🔹 Nearly 4 million square feet of development completed
🔹 More than $55 billion invested across Central Texas
🔹 3,500+ permanent manufacturing jobs
🔹 Approximately 12,000 construction jobs
But this story is about more than semiconductors.
As Samsung expands, suppliers follow. New manufacturers move in. Restaurants and retail grow. Housing developments accelerate. Roads, utilities, and infrastructure continue expanding to support one of the fastest-growing technology corridors in America.
Samsung has also signed a $16.5 billion agreement with Tesla to manufacture next-generation AI chips that will help power Tesla’s future vehicle technology, adding another major chapter to Central Texas’ growing role in advanced manufacturing.
Taylor is no longer simply a growing town.
It’s becoming one of America’s premier semiconductor manufacturing hubs, and Williamson County is right at the center of it.
What do you think? Will Samsung’s continued expansion transform Taylor into one of the country’s leading technology cities? Let me know in the comments.

This may be a long shot, but I wanted to reach out.
I cover growth, development, business, and local news throughout Williamson County, Texas, through WilCo TX Insider. We are also a premier media partner of the Williamson County Fair & Rodeo.
A local developer recently introduced me to an artist who created a remarkable piece titled “The Touch of Humanity.” He would be honored to gift the artwork to you, and I have attached a video so you can see the piece and the detail behind it.
The artist comes from a notable artistic family. His uncle was Karl Momen, the internationally recognized artist who created the Tree of Life sculpture in Utah. The artist has also had artwork included in a presidential collection.
I recently rebranded this X account from an older account, so I understand it may not yet look established. However, WilCo TX Insider has active and verifiable accounts on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. I am a real local media publisher simply trying to help this artist deliver a meaningful gift.
I understand you receive countless messages, but I felt the artwork and the story behind it were worth sharing. Please let me know if there is an appropriate person on your team I should contact regarding the gift.
🏡 Another major residential community is coming to Williamson County.
Risewell Homes is developing Starling, a new 900-home master-planned community near Round Rock that will bring a mix of homes for first-time buyers, growing families, and move-up homeowners.
📍 Located near Rockride Lane and County Road 110, the approximately 230-acre community will feature homes ranging from 1,700 to 3,600 square feet, with home sales expected to begin in Spring 2027.
As Round Rock and Georgetown continue growing toward one another, developments like this are reshaping the future of eastern Williamson County. Along with new neighborhoods comes the need for expanded roads, schools, parks, utilities, and local businesses to support the area’s continued growth.
Do you think Williamson County is growing at the right pace, or is growth happening too fast?

Also would love to talk with you about getting a local school district connected with your Tesla Manufacturing company in Bastrop! It would be great for the schools CTE program. The school district is located in Taylor TX
Behaviour management is not about the young people,
behaviour management is about the adults.
A regulated calm adult can regulate a dysregulated, anxious child. But,a dysregulated adult can never regulate a dysregulated child. They need to be met in their nervous system states.🧠🌱
Five goals when defusing an upset kid:
1. Treat them with dignity.
2. Preserve your own dignity.
3. Keep them in class.
4. Remain a 2nd to last word person.
5. Teach & practice alternative behavior.
