A new wealth tax on the super rich could raise the BILLIONS it so desperately needs. I just signed the petition in support of this plan - can you sign too? https://t.co/twYxTB98E5
🚨🚨🚨ELECTION DAY EXCLUSIVE!🚨🚨🚨
The spacetime continuum has just gifted me this documentary newsreel from 2034 which asks
THE TORIES - WHERE ARE THEY NOW?
They partied , they bet on elections , they crashed the economy, they broke every public service, they destroyed integrity and honesty in public office , they paid their mates billions , they put their friends in the House of Lords, they gave their cronies knighthoods, they went into the jungle , they lied again and again, they were convicted by police, they went on holiday when they shouldn’t and they have the cheek to question Keir Starmer’s work ethic. I would never take anything for granted but I hope they are annihilated on Thursday. The worst people and government we have ever had!
P.S good afternoon all 😊❤️
Why has legal action not been taken against the Directors of Thames Water?
It is illegal for a company to pay out dividends or trade while insolvent under the Companies Act 2006, S 830: If a company is insolvent, it means it does not have sufficient distributable profits, and thus, paying dividends would be illegal. Directors who authorise such payments can be held personally liable to repay the unlawfully distributed dividends.
Insolvency Act 1986:Wrongful Trading (Section 214): Directors can be held personally liable if they continue to trade when they knew, or ought to have concluded, that there was no reasonable prospect of avoiding insolvent liquidation.
Legal Consequences for
Directors engaging in trading while insolvent or authorise unlawful dividend payments can face the below:
- Personal liability for company debts
- Disqualification from serving as a director for up to 15 years
- Criminal charges, particularly in cases of fraudulent trading
If I were elected MP for #Epsom #Ewell #Ashtead and #Leatherhead I would be pursuing this!

Imagine having terminal cancer, arriving at A&E with suspected sepsis & being forced to lie on the FLOOR because the hospital hasn’t got a single bed.
This happened to Madeleine Butcher this week. In Britain. In 2024.
Because the Tories have destroyed our NHS. Simply barbaric.
Rough sleeping has increased by 120% since 2010. Essential funding for homelessness services *must* be extended and uplifted.

I'm delighted to tell you all 7 main parties how now confirmed they will take part in the MoneySavingExpert leaders debate. Where we put key consumer finance questions to them all (in writing) and they tell us their policy. I've just finalised the 15 questions with the team - thanks for all the suggestions.
Financier & Conservative Party CEO Stephen Massey has given the party £343,000.
Now he’s taken on a senior role at one of the UK’s leading private cancer care firms - that boasts openly of profiting from the NHS cancer waits the Tories have caused.
This is utterly corrupt.
Promoted by the interruption into Brian Cox splendid account of Brexit economic disaster - ‘economists argue about that’ - I watched back the rest of @bbclaurak show. Mark Harper said that the Tories' pledges could be funded from ‘very specific plans’ on welfare reform. Surely she had to say: those plans are already in your baseline, how can you spend the same money twice? I know live interviewing is tricky but that was a big miss from yet another Tory trying to get away with as much as they can
Labour has removed the phrase “the NHS is not for sale” from its manifesto.
Wes Streeting has said he would “hold the door wide open” for private-sector “entrepreneurs that are coming up with cutting-edge treatments and technologies”. He has also said that he would use private hospitals to reduce the NHS backlog, writing in the Sun in April that “middle-class lefties” would not get in the way of his plans.

Have you heard about the pathology crisis in South London?
A private company Synnovis won the contract to run pathology for Guys, Thomas's and Kings Trust
They suffered a cyberattack and the whole system has frozen!
There appears to be no proper effective business continuity plan or backup, cybersecurity etc
- risking the safety and health of patients taking a backseat to dividends!!
Once Sunak and Starmer's 12 deregulated Freeports and 75 Special Economic Zones are operational, there will be no more public services left. This is the duopolies 'growth machine', it will privatise the entire UK in a race to the bottom.
How does this 'growth machine' work?
Each SEZ is given £160 million in State Aid (public money) as a corporate welfare subsidy, multiplied by 74 = £11,84 billion
74 SEZs in total, England (48), Scotland (18), and Wales (8). All of these free zones are tax-exempt for companies for 10 years, they are licensed and future-proofed for a quarter of a century.
Labour fully support this Tory initiative as board members of Sunak’s nationwide Freeports/SEZs consortia.
The UK is being privatized in what libertarians refer to as ‘countrypreneurship’, public services are considered ‘small potatoes’, every aspect of social governance, and collective sovereignty is up for sale, and Brexit was the enabler, implementing 'exit' strategies from democracy that were developed in the 50s and 60s, and here we are.
I’m simply horrified to see @NHSEngland now literally breaking the law in how it misrepresents physician associates & other allied health professional - who are NOT doctors - to the public.

My God. They are so so bad at politics. Well said @SarahOlney - Sunak has operated his entire premiership on the basis of the interests of the Tory Party. So he doesn’t get the side of the role that is purely about representing 🇬🇧 as a whole. It is a big part of the job. And of course the mindset that says 🇬🇧 event was the only one that mattered beggars belief. But then again you think of Brexit and all that world beating rubbish they spout and you get it. Awful awful mistake. But so was Johnson and so was Truss. Be gone the lot of them

"The Green Party is clear. Brexit was a bad idea. And ultimately the UK would be better off inside the EU"
Fiona Bruce, "That's not how people voted"
Carla Denyer, "There was misinformation in that campaign.. There was misinformation"
Fiona Bruce, "So the Green Party's view is to rejoin the EU, irrespective of the referendum?"
Carla Denyer, "When the time is right.. We believe we would be better off in the EU and we're not afraid of making that case"
