In “#Leadership for a Complex Enterprise,” @wilcoxjeff and Dinesh Verma of @FollowStevens@GeorgetownSEM write: “The operating system of today’s organizations evolved...to eliminate complexity from operations in favor of predictability."

As I begin a new chapter in my own story, and as we all step into a new year, I am filled with gratitude for all those who have guided and inspired me along the way. I am forever in your debt, and always at your service!
Last week, after 33 years in the aerospace industry, I retired from Lockheed Martin. It has been the honor of my career to have served alongside so many amazing people. People dedicated to our customers, to our mission, and to pushing back the frontier of the known world.
@MiamiOHPres @miamiuniversity One of the great joys of my career has been to come alongside these amazing young people and be a part of their journey. This article speaks to the role of leaders in generating hope, and they have done that in me. Thanks to @miamiOHPres and @leaderlouise for making it possible!
The Drexel Solutions Institute welcomes @LockheedMartin as the Corporate Partner of the Month, a program highlighting companies who have engaged with Drexel in key areas including experiential learning, research collaboration, talent acquisition and more. https://t.co/7eps8vBAJZ
@rachel_duke22@MUEngLdrInst Great point, Rachel! I learned the hard way to always ask myself what is “the point” of my talk. The ultimate test for me is always when my 16-year-old asks, “what’s your talk about, dad?” If I can’t answer that to his satisfaction, I go back to the drawing board:).
@rgruenberg2 @KarenMoss28@MUEngLdrInst Great observations Rebecca! One thing I tell speakers (and often remind myself) is it is pretty much impossible to speak too slowly when giving a talk. Another is to never fear silence - a pause can be the most powerful way to communicate!
@LeaderLouise@MUEngLdrInst Thanks for posting Louise - 100% agree. I’ve seen no correlation between gpa and ability to succeed and contribute in the workplace.
At #STEMaiCMU@wilcoxjeff giving very interesting keynote on importance of building bridges inside & outside organizations for digital transformation that goes beyond digitalization & the role that tech can play to help do that. A deeper connection needed bw industry & academia.
A long overdue thank you to my friends @DrexelUniv for this great honor, and for the chance to discuss #engineering#leadership and stewardship of the #digital commons! https://t.co/Gv4lyaou8B
