Hammer thrower Brooke Andersen's season is over ❤️🩹
Just a few days after throwing a 79.09m SB, she took to IG to announce her season is over due to a bum shoulder that requires surgery.
Wishing her a speedy recovery 🫡
Incredible men’s disc comp up at Iron Wood today 😮💨
Texas backs up an NCAA performance he wasn’t happy with by going 74.95m/66.20m to pick up two wins in his pro debut, Joe gets the best mark of his career away from Ramona, and BDub continues his comeback season with the 3rd-best mark of his life. Good stuff.
Incredible series for Jordan Geist today at Ironwood to take the win. 22.24m up top and all 4 legal attempts in the series were >22m, going 22.16m, 22.09m and 22.07m.
Just a centimeter off his PB and third time over 22m this year, but first since February. Good step forward.
Jordan Geist 🇺🇸 threw 22.24m to win the men's Shot Put at Iron Wood Classic in Rathdrum, Idaho.
He was just a centimetre off his PB, finishing well ahead of T'Mond Johnson who was 2nd with 20.86m.
Lawrence Okoye throws 68.81m in the men's discus at the UK Champs in Birmingham to break the championship record.
Okoye beat the 65.93m that he set at these championships 12 months ago.
The British record-holder won medals at the European Champs and Commonwealth Games four years ago and is in fine form again in 2026.
71.86m!!🔥
Kristjan Ceh 🇸🇮 won his 8th Slovenian title in the men's Discus Throw at the National Athletics Championships in Maribor!
His series:
68.55m
71.86m
70.73m
69.50m
68.52m
69.13m
He won by over 19 metres.
Saved her best for last 🤩🥇
@OregonTF’s Jaslene Massey moved into the lead on her final attempt, launching a 60.27m (197-9) throw to win the U20 women’s discus 👏

70.60m after a pec tear?!
Mykolas Alekna returned to the discus ring today in Jõhvi, Estonia just three months after having surgery for a torn pec.
What was the result? Oh, just the farthest throw in the world this year outside of Ramona - 70.60m 🤯
He also had a throw of 69.28m to back it up and defeated Kristjan Ceh and Roje Stona in the process.
If you had Mykolas written off for 2026, you better change your outlook. The WR-holder is BACK!
Many of the best throwers of all-time never won a NCAA title.
Valarie Sion, Joe Kovacs, Roje Stona, Chase Jackson, Brooke Andersen, Christian Cantwell, Reese Hoffa, Darrell Hill, and the list goes on...
Never let one meet determine your worth😤
70.60m on his return!!🔥
Just months after suffering a full pec tear, World Record holder Mykolas Alekna 🇱🇹 opened up his season with a 70.60m throw at the Heino Lipp Memorial in Johvi!
He beat Kristjan Ceh 🇸🇮 with 69.35m in 2nd and Roje Stona 🇯🇲 who threw 65.42m for 3rd place.
