Inam Khan groomed a 14-year-old girl in Suffolk and a 12-year-old girl in Sussex.. both on Snapchat. Both children. Both alone when he found them.

He drove from Northamptonshire to Suffolk to rape the 14-year-old.

Then, while on bail, he drove to Sussex and abducted the 12-year-old. Drove approximately 600 miles across two trips to get to her.

Convicted of rape, attempted rape, abduction and sexual assault. Jailed for 19 years at Hove Crown Court.

He was on bail when he abducted the second child.

On. Bail.

Een oudere kwetsbare dame doet ’s avonds rond half acht de deur open. Ze denkt dat het haar kleinzoon is, die net was vertrokken en misschien iets vergeten is.

Wat er daarna gebeurt, is zo gruwelijk dat het bijna niet te bevatten is.

3 jonge mannen — getint, vermoedelijk Noord-Afrikaanse afkomst, rond de 20-25 jaar — duwen haar met geweld naar binnen. Ze slaan, schoppen en mishandelen haar waarschijnlijk urenlang. Ze laten haar kapot achter. Bloed overal: op haar lichaam, op de muren, op de vloer. Ze wordt ook seksueel misbruikt.

Anderhalve tot twee dagen later wordt ze gevonden. Ze leeft dan nog nauwelijks.

De artsen bevestigen: 25 hechtingen in haar hoofd, gebroken heup, gebroken bekken, gebroken oogkas. Een rugoperatie volgt om haar wervelkolom te stabiliseren. Het resultaat: een dwarslaesie. Deze vrouw, die al beperkt was in haar mobiliteit, is nu volledig afhankelijk. Voor altijd in een speciale elektrische rolstoel. Haar leven is volledig kapotgemaakt.

De daders hebben ook 15.000 euro contant, plus goud van haar overleden vader meegenomen. Geld dat ze zorgvuldig had gespaard, onder meer voor haar kleindochter die haar rijbewijs wilde halen.

De daders zijn nooit gepakt.
De politie heeft geen DNA onder haar nagels veilig gesteld voor verder onderzoek.
Ze kreeg te horen dat ze er maar mee moet leren leven.

Vanmiddag sprak ik haar. Toen ik vroeg naar haar nieuwe rolstoel, barstte ze in snikken uit. Het verdriet, de schaamte, de machteloosheid — het kwam er allemaal uit. Deze sterke, lieve vrouw is gebroken. Niet alleen fysiek, maar ook vanbinnen.

Ik heb expliciet toestemming van haar gekregen om dit te vertellen. Omdat ze wil dat het gezien wordt. Omdat dit niet in de doofpot mag verdwijnen.

Dit is geen statistiek.
Dit is iemands oma. Iemands moeder. Iemands buurvrouw.

Hoeveel van dit soort gruwel verhalen moeten we nog zien??
