@HPbasketball Hi Matt, love your work! I just saw the show you and @NBABlackburn did last night and one angle to consider is if it was a decision from above to sit everyone, remember Sunday is a national game and they can be fined for sitting players so they needed to establish a precedent!
@WhatsWrightShow@getnickwright@DamonzaByrd Nick, with everyone hating on you about your correct take on the Celtics you should point out that history says if you lose your first Finals but are going to win a title with that core it happens the following year. The only time that wasn’t true was the 78 Bullets. Look into it
Zaslav doesn’t care about TCM. He doesn’t care about films or history or Martin Scorsese. He doesn’t care about actually making anything good. He care about the stock price. He cares about the dollar. That is his god. “The world is a business, Mr. Beale.”

@shendy456 This is misleading, LeBron’s two best games came in games 5 and 6. His averages through 4 games were 27.8ppg, 11rpg and 8.5apg on 54% from the field. Let this year’s finals end and then see where it stacks up.
I’ve discovered that the opening to Risky Business fits The Shining perfectly. I call it Shiny Business. Not sure what to do with this information but maybe @gourleyandrust can tackle it during their Shining season? @paulrust@MattGourley
@scottEmovienerd I think I was thrown by the Schrader connection. It messed with my expectations on opening night and I left dissatisfied. I love it now though.
Paramount Pictures has preemptively acquired a remake of Alfred Hitchcock’s 1958 classic psychological thriller #Vertigo, a possible starring vehicle for Robert Downey Jr. https://t.co/daGJDlOoxp
@Zombiefang I hope it bounces back, they mean a lot to me. But before Covid the 3 lowest rated Oscars ever were in 2018-2020. I just think that reflects a disinterest in Hollywood making what was typically considered Oscar films. That’s what Schrader fails to see in his incorrect assessment.
@Zombiefang@paul_posts I would say the most tangible proof is the ratings in recent years show less people tuning in and it seems the major studios are far less interested in making movies that chase Oscars because winning Oscars used to provide a real bump to box office/home video revenue.
@26MFHPOD I’ve always said Korine was unpretentious Malick, or one step farther, what Malick aspires to be, because it seems completely natural and effortless and honest!
