A mini everlasting wreath filled with materials grown by me on my allotment and garden, and some preserved from a bouquet #Flowersonfriday @flowersonfriday #wreath #driedflowers #floraldesign #floristry

I've been having so much fun crafting and designing mini everlasting wreaths. Almost all of the material has been grown by me, and the Astilbe and Gypsophila preserved from a bouquet. Incl. Ivy from the garden as the vinebase.

The echinops on the allotment have taken over 🤩 We have three plants of this size and the bees are loving it!

All but one sugar snap pea survived a recent slug/snail onslaught 🐌

It can be so disheartening loosing plants to pests, but there’s something special about learning to live with what Mother Nature offers us 💚

@Saralimback I have to say I have been quite surprised with how many times I’ve been advised to “go and do some volunteering” when trying to find a way into horticulture - it entirely relies on privilege & ultimately excludes many 👎
