Itz been a while, been lost in the north filming nature.. W/ @elonmusk at the helm, I say adios! looking for peace, NOT cruel bullying, vitriolic hatred & consiracy driven intolerance. Lifes too short!
Join me tomorrow at 10AM ET for a conversation about climate change and the environment hosted by @washingtonpost. I’m honored to share the conservation conversation with @DavidSuzukiFDN! I look forward to your questions and thoughts: https://t.co/tmgki8EpEp
Displaced by the vast bushfires that have catastrophically scorched the landscape, this little red-necked wallaby joey was orphaned when its mom was hit by a car while escaping the fires. Luckily, the marsupial babe… https://t.co/urhBLydiV2
Tragedy for in imperiled species! Today Iman, the gentle giant, the last surviving Sumatran rhino in Malaysia has died from cancer. Now only 80 of these remarkable creatures of the forest remain!
"It is a tragic decision, it’s an awful decision. It shows how reckless they are with the environment. But it is a decision that to me unfortunately is not surprising with this administration." @wildcorwin on a lion trophy the Trump admin approved to be imported to the US.
Rainforests are the biologically richest ecosystem, occupying less than 5% of Earth’s surface with 70% of all life. But soon they will be gone, as 3000 acres burn hourly, a mass of life the size of the UK scorched annually! My conv. w/ @donlemon https://t.co/q9KPojVJ3i
Oh Pat, the giant 70 pound pacific octopus, thinks she’s quite the cheeky comedian! She had me locked down in her hickey-making, tentacles and gave me quite a soaking! Nearly 4 gallons of water with each squirt! It’s why I love filming these marvelous cephalods @AlaskaSeaLife
Pres. Trump is now dismantling the endangered species act, putting threatened species in further peril! Climate change and science are back-burnered, now that money will determine what species survives or goes extinct! As discussed with @11thHour https://t.co/CvkuNj6b5v
Today I time traveled back 1000 years for a reenactment scene we shot on a Viking vessel, off of Norway! It took me almost 15 minutes to grow that beard!
Stirring yet ominous, eerily beautiful yet profoundly tragic. I stumbled onto a dead gray whale that had washed into a freshwater river in Alaska. It had starved to death, one of 40 dead whales along the Pacific coast. Likely culprit - climate change!
Anchored in Mo’orea, @wildcorwin teams up with local scientists to study the colorful clownfish that live near the coral reef surrounding the island! #OceanTreks 🇵🇫🐟
So why do we have such a crappy planetary plastic Catastrophe? Just ordered room service @HiltonWaikoloa@HiltonHotels in hawaii. About a 1/3 days worth of calories, served in plastics that’ll last about 400 yrs in a landfill. The irony, I’m here for an environmental conference.
