This piece of shit traitor needs to be court martialed & imprisoned. What a traitor to his country he is.
What is he protesting exactly? Is he objecting to the amount of peace treaties President Trump has brokered in his 5 & a half years as a US President? Not enough war, too many peace treaties, eh?
Is he angry because Trump hasn't been bombing countries around the world as much as Obama did? Well, it's not easy matching Obama's record as the only two term President in history to bomb other countries on all 2,922 days of his presidency. That's some record & may never be equaled.
When will you people get your heads around the fact we live in a democracy? You people seem to think that if you don't like or agree with what the President & the government is doing then that means democracy is under attack. It doesn't. It means you lost the argument at the last election.
I'm trying to be objective & trying to listen to what you're saying with as open a mind as possible & not simply dismiss it out of hand.
But then you discredit yourself & put everything you say into question by coming out with comments saying Musk is evil, & worse, claiming he puts out white supremacist propaganda.
Let's not beat about the bush...you're saying Elon Musk is a white supremacist.
He has very poor credentials for a white supremacist:
4 Jewish children. 3 mixed race children whose mother is Punjabi. He donated his sperm to an Asian woman.
These acts are the antithesis of what a white supremacist would do.
But you're going to tell me he held his right arm up in a Nazi style salute, aren't you?
I haven't watched the video you sent me, no. But I will find the time to do so & then let you know what I think.
Lawsuits against Tesla because of mechanical faults isn't something that reflects on the character of Elon Musk. After all, Tesla is part of a new technology & you could argue how teething problems are to be expected in new technology. Many reputable companies around the world have had issues with their product. Toyota & Audi spring to mind as two companies who faced thousands of lawsuits in regard to faults on their vehicles. We frequently see these sorts of companies having to recall a particular model from the public.
Requiring i.d for people to vote in elections has nothing to do with a centralized database. The vast majority of people already have i.d that they can use.
How the hell does voter i.d 'manipulate' elections, that's a ludicrous allegation? All other Western democracies require i.d if people want to vote. And there is no controversy around this issue either.
A couple of years ago the UK passed a law requiring PHOTO i.d at all elections, local & national. This did become a bit contentious & a fair number of people opposed the idea.
However, the Bill passed in Parliament by 296 votes to 198. And this is not just i.d, but photo i.d.
@Concupiscible26@SaltyGoat17 You said Musk was being investigated by multiple agencies for multiple complaints. When did these investigations start, what date did the earliest investigations open? Do you know, can you tell me & save me having to go & look it all up? Thanks.
And yet nobody thought to say anything in 20 years.
Not until the moment he came out & endorsed Donald Trump. What a coincidence that timing was.
The last I remember reading SpaceX had long term debt of $29 billion but holds over $100 billion in cash. Not all of his companies have debt.
Debt is not necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes it makes absolute sense for a company to use other people's money for certain things. It depends on many things.
But as I've never borrowed millions, or billions, myself, then I'm not going to claim to be an expert on something I have no personal experience of doing.
Trump is the Commander-in-Chief for goodness sake. It is an utter disgrace how these shameful people think it's okay to attack the President for purely partisan reasons.
This major has served for 17 years. Did he do this in regard to Obama, was this man brave enough to call for Obama's impeachment? If Obama could bomb other countries then so too can Trump.
Obama is the only two term President in history to bomb other countries on every single day of his presidency.
2,922 days in office & he bombed some country or another on every one of those 2,922 days.
I wonder if this Major in the US military was 'brave enough' to protest the man running the country then?
Only someone with a captured mind, a cultist, could spend 2 years believing Joe Biden was in perfect mental shape. None of you could see the clear signs of serious cognitive decline....why not? Because of a couple of reasons: One...you were told by your Party leaders that it was all MAGA lies & not to believe your eyes. Two...you are conditioned to always believe the opposite of what Trump says. So if Trump says Biden is mentally compromised because he's showing classic signs of senile dementia, then all of you HAVE to believe the opposite. You have no choice as the No.1 rule of your cult is to NEVER, absolutely NEVER, agree with Donald Trump on anything, to do so would be sacrilege.
No, it isn't clear to everyone. A lot of things in the Constitution aren't crystal clear. Language can evolve over time & take on a slightly different meaning during different periods in history. Not always & I'm not saying this applies in this birthright case. But what seems perfectly obvious to you might not be perfectly obvious to someone else.
You might've had a stronger argument to make your case had the decision been 9:0. But a 5:4 split suggests the interpretation wasn't clear. It only 'suggests' it, mind, it doesn't prove it because as you said the 4 justices who voted in favor of Trump's EO might've been doing so for ideological reasons. But we will never know if they did or not & so we have to assume they didn't.
I recall the absolute outrage from the Left when Trump signed this birthright Executive Order last year. Every liberal & his wife piled in & attacked the very notion that anyone would even dare challenge such an obvious cast iron Constitutional right as birthright citizenship.
Well, okay, Trump lost, but he came within one vote of winning (it was 5:4, wasn't it? I've not had the chance to read anything yet but I was told it was a 5:4 decision).
And we don't know how close a call it was for ACB & Roberts as to which way they voted.
My point is, Trump came much, much closer to ending birthright citizenship for people in the country illegally than many people, including in the legal profession, gave him an earthly chance of doing.
Actually if anyone is gullible it would appear to be you.
The majority weren't protecting the 14th Amd anymore than what the 4 justices who voted the other way were trying to protect what the constitution says.
If the Constitution was as clear-cut as you seem to think it is then we wouldn't need a Supreme Ct to interpret it & make a definite decision. The most brilliant minds in the country can often interpret the Constitution differently.
If there could only be one possible meaning then every vote would be 9:0, wouldn't it?
But only between 30% - 43% of Supreme Ct cases end in a 9:0 decision.
MAGA Republicans need to start accepting the reality of Supreme Court rulings? Oh, okay, maybe we could learn from the Democrat Party & how they so graciously accept Supreme Court rulings? I'm thinking of how they accepted rulings like in the Dobbs case which struck down Row v Wade, or more recently & how they accepted the ruling in the racial gerrymandering case.
Or even more recent than that & the way they accepted the ruling that said the President can end TPS for Haitian immigrants.
Maybe what really tells us who accepts the Supreme Court & the rulings they make & who doesn't is by looking at which Party it is that constantly threatens to enlarge the court with 4 more justices. Why 4 & not 2...because it's only by adding 4 more justices that they can grab power & control the court.
@RileyTurne485@EricLDaugh Trump hasn't invaded a single country in 5 years as the President. The only war he has started lasted around 40 days. Compare that with Clinton, Bush, Obama, & their record of going to war.
I just noticed you said..."what tariffs really are". Tariffs are really...tariffs. Tariffs are tariffs. You can say tariffs are a tax, a protectionist tax, if you like because sometimes that is indeed their intended purpose. But it's not always the intended purpose.
Also, traditionally tariffs have been something the political Left have supported & called for & it was the Right that opposed tariffs. But then Trump isn't your typical Right Wing conservative, he's more of a mixture of primarily Right Wing policies but with some Left..ish policies mixed in.
I was actually meaning in a financial & trading sense. But I suppose that comes into literally everything at the end of the day.
Who pays for tariffs? Well if it's the taxpayers, or the population, of the country that's imposing the tariffs who pay the extra costs that tariffs bring, then why do so many countries around the world impose this unnecessary 'tax' on their people?
There must be some kind of benefit to tariffs. Yes, there's some down sides to tariffs as well, but it's not as simple as saying...tariffs bad, no tariffs good.
What? Uhh..?? Actually it was self-explanatory to anyone with eyes for 2 years prior to the 2024 election how Joe Biden didn't have a cat in hell's chance of standing for re-election.
But whereas you people would've reveled in seeing Trump like that, I was sad to see Biden in that way. I felt for the man & his family. Because say what you want about Gill Biden & Hunter Biden, etc, but they clearly have a genuine & strong love for Joe.
Everyone, including some Democrats in Congress, attacked President Biden when he went back on his word & gave Hunter a pardon just before handing over to Trump. But my respect for Joe Biden went up when he did this. He knew he'd get heavily criticized but he had an opportunity to do something to protect his son & he couldn't not do it. Good for him I say. It's not going to hurt anyone by giving his son a pardon.
I hope Joe Biden lives out his remaining years in peace & tranquility & with his loving family around him. He at least deserves that, doesn't he?
What you describe as trying to get the world to submit to Trump is just a US President re-aligning America's relationship with the world.
After WW2 it was the role of America to support much of the world & lead countries back to prosperity.
The US economy accounted for 50% of the world's GDP. We had more wealth than the rest of the world put together. We could afford to carrying the vast majority of the financing of things like NATO & the UN.
Look at when Trump was putting tariffs on foreign goods coming into the country. Democrats opposed all of them. But Trump was right. Why should everyone charge America tariffs but America shouldn't do the same?
Trump said from day one if any country wants to put 0% on their tariffs then America will put 0% tariffs on that country.
But the Left thinks we have a bottomless pit of money & should fund everything.
Trump had more involvement in brokering the Gaza ceasefire & bringing the last hostage's home than any other individual did. And what's more he was recognized for doing so by the whole world, including both Israel & the Palestinians.
When Trump's representatives like Steve Witkoff & Jared Kushner are in the room brokering an agreement between the parties concerned, they are doing so on the instructions of Trump. Just because Trump isn't physically in the room it doesn't mean he isn't the core player in the whole thing. He is. Always. Everything will be relayed back to him wherever he is in the world. And if he doesn't give his approval then nothing is signed.
It's not because it's Donald Trump, it's because it's the President of the United States. It would be the same whoever was President. This should be self-explanatory.
