I believe in storytelling for healing and advocacy. Young breast cancer. Write, hike in the woods, repeat. Founder, Editor, @real_wildfire WILDFIRE Magazine.๐ฅ
As we flip the calendar to '22, I'm heading into my 10 year cancerversary with 35 issues of @real_wildfire published! ๐ That's 1,000 stories shared from inside the young breast cancer community!
@GogsGagnon @NakhleDr@BZavaletaMD@DrLindaMD@LisaEllisonsPen@warriormegsie @ESchattner Yes!! Are you familiar with the concept of Narrative Medicine? More doctors need to use a story-based approach, I think. In lieu of that, we find it ourselves out of a deep drive to survive (aka, make meaning of) what life dishes out. So glad you found your way to writing!
Did you know #journaling can be used as a #healing tool? In a recent FB Live with @wildfire_april we learned how journaling can help you gain a sense of control over difficult situations, quiet the mind & provide a sense of calm & well-being. Check out this clip to learn more
Congratulations to our cofounder @BraveBeauty26 for creating the @MissingPinkBCA! We look forward to your launch and seeing all you accomplish in your next chapter.
