@Anna_Schumann yes, full time GP training throughout the 2 year build up and then 6 month OOPE for the actual exped. Now back to full time and definitely feel a better doctor because of it! #differentperspective
@wildrnics than you for a very inspiring talk on #icemaiden; I was wondering if you kept up your GP day job while training 💪🏽 if not, have you gone back to it since? Thanks, Anna
@KatrinaMegget@exicemaiden Hi sorry, I needed a mini social media holiday! Having read some of the comments I agree it’s not all about being ‘tough’ enough but I can only relate to what we have done and my personal thoughts on that, so please do send me a message and we can arrange to chat?
Check out this amazing and inspirational team, who are planning to cross the English Channel using our gear! #SUP#paddleboarding#channelcrossing https://t.co/zRdIHJxgv7
“We dig a pit in the snow to go to the toilet – and make it quick! We also use a Shewee and a pee bottle in case we need to pee in the tent at night.”

I interviewed @icemaidenNics about what it was like to trek across Antarctica and found out what questions children from primary classrooms were sending them throughout the expedition! via @TeacherToolkit https://t.co/qp6SbBpvgx #TTkit100women
On #InternationalWomensDay we celebrate the inspiring Ice Maidens who completed an epic crossing of Antarctica unaided. The all-female team of 6 Army regulars + reservists used muscle power to pull sledges heavier than their bodyweight along 1700kms. Congratulations @exicemaiden!
