In Dec, crews GPS-collared bighorn sheep and completed baseline herd health sampling for the Spatsum-Nicola & Lower Thompson herds. Critical data to monitor disease risks, map movements/lambing areas, and guide for ther future.
Delivered with strong partners + a WSF GIA.
We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our Board of Directors. If you are passionate about conservation, value strong governance, and want to make a meaningful difference. Your skills, experience, and commitment can help lead the Society.

WSSBC VP Barker & CEO Stelter were in Victoria this week with the Fish, Wildlife & Habitat Coalition, meeting MLAs from govt & opposition. Great conversations on supporting fish, wildlife & habitat in B.C., plus focused meetings on wild sheep conservation. Productive week!
Happy Thanksgiving to our friends south of the border!
From your Wild Sheep Family up here in BC — grateful for the partnership, the passion, and the shared mission to keep wild places wild and sheep on the mountains. Enjoy the feast!

When we use the term “Wild Sheep Family,” we’re talking about more than just those who chase rams through the high country. It means a community of people: hunters, biologists, conservationists, volunteers, partners, and supporters, who are united by a shared commitment.
🎃 Happy Halloween & #FullCurlFriday from the Wild Sheep Society of BC! 🐏👻
Whether you’re out chasing candy or chasing critters, we hope your day is filled with good company, great stories, and maybe a few spooky surprises along the trail
