We have chicks! The first of the 16 eggs of Mrs. Percy the Pheasant have hatched in my #wildlifegarden. Check out the new LIVE nest cam I’ve set up on YouTube for you all to watch in real time, and see how many more chicks hatch! 😍🐣👇

Spent the afternoon putting up this box for the local pair of Kestrels. Fingers crossed they like their new apartment - it’s got a fine bed of gravel, is positioned out of the prevailing wind & overlooks what will be my #wildflower meadow later this year…what’s not to love?! 😆
Ridiculously excited to hear Grey Partridge calling in the field behind my garden this morning! Here’s a clip I took yesterday of a pair that were a couple of miles from the house. Great to see several pairs of this Red Listed bird in the area @_BTO@StephenMoss_TV#Lincolnshire
@DorsetWildlife Thanks Jack ,there is a lot of new thinking now on feeding garden birds. My friend Joel Ashton @wildyourgarden has a great advice on his UTube channel explaining why we should not stop altogether as is suggested by some conservationists

No sooner had I stopped to take in the finished creation of my latest #wildlifepond than it was visited by six swallows, stopping by for a drink & to gather some mud for nest-building! Amazing! 😍
One of the many benefits of having a #NoMowSummer - an incredible display from our resident #PipistrelleBats, thanks to the sheer abundance of insects in the #garden, flying above the longer areas of the meadow ❤️ 🦇 @BatConIntl@_BCT_

😀Don’t miss out!
interesting to see a pr of LTTits gathering nest material so early in the yr..One watching while the other gleaned then they flew off together to a bramble bush at Hatch Pond before returning time and again for more.
Want to know a great way to help the birds in your #garden at this time of year? Provide somewhere for them to spend the night & try one of our very own @WildYourGarden#RoostBoxes. Check out my latest YouTube video on them here👇

Just wanted to wish everyone on here a very #HappyNewYear! Thought I’d leave a little thread of just some of the projects I’ve undertaken to help #wildlife in 2024. Here’s to much more habitat creation, everywhere, in #2025. Thanks also to all of you that have helped wildlife 💚
