@DaveTheCarGuy There’s no way this was a “racing incident.” It was 100% initiated by Piastri’s precipitous move to the left when he thought he saw a chance to nail Norris. It was a deliberate and stupid move in the (obvious) melee that exists on lap one and should have been punished severely

@advofchange @CarsSouthAfrica The change in design philosophy - no longer over engineered - began with the W210 and gained traction under Juergen Schrempp. I also feel that the start of the CAD era undermined MB’s individuality and prefaced a sameness in engineering solutions across the industry.

@mtura712 Two comments - both subjective. 1) If they’ve gone to the trouble of improving the cabin tactility, it’s a pity they haven’t administered a bit of colour in the interior. It looks drab in these pics. 2) Rear lamp cluster looks clumsily HEAVY. Slimmer units are in these days.

@NBrenwin @wendyknowler It’s an issue that’s all too common as dealers “ fiddle” sales figures, real or imagined, often to meet incentive targets set by importers. Then when the victim of the fiddle becomes aware of being short-changed, the dealer invariably expresses ignorance as to the source.

I didn’t actually say that BoP was applied on Test Day performance in this instance but I did suggest that Ferrari in particular were sandbagging on that day to disguise their true potential. Historically, BoP HAS actually been applied on Test Day/qualifying discrepancies.
