Flow Reversal :
Alternating elements force the fluid to constantly reverse its rotation direction. This generates intense turbulence, breaking down any interfaces between the dye and alkali.
Radial Mixing :
The elements guide the fluid to move continuously from the pipe's center to the walls and back. This radial circulation ensures that the concentration is perfectly uniform across the entire cross-section.
Flow Division :
At each element, the fluid stream is split into two. As the fluid progresses, the layers divide exponentially, creating thousands of micro-layers in a split second.
