Lost name in this spring mix is Max Anderson.
Less plate discipline than McGonigle but his barrel rate is exceptional and his recent stint in AZFL was amazing.
Problem, he might be at best a below average 2nd baseman.
I would love to find a way to get his bat in somehow
Fuck it, sign JV.
Skubal
Olson
Flaherty
Mize/(someone else)
JV
With all the injuries you know you’ll have why not throw the old Vet back there to improve your guys. + he was literally a above average pitcher last year and if anyone can replicate Randy it’s JV
Skubal
Olson
Flaherty
Mize
Melton
Anderson
Montero
+ a few AA-AAA guys who look promising. The market sucks for pitching, put all your chips in on a bat or two and call it a day
In very high on him due to his mindset and approach.
Many of us are probably getting ptsd from Franky Rodriguez, but Kenley has shown an ability to maintain + stuff and tbh it’s just a gut feeling but I believe he’s got that dog in him
Hopefully I’m right. Will check back on this
He reinvented his pitching approach to compensate for his velocity decrease. Add Fetter into his life, I’m very confident he has another productive season.
That being said, we need to acquire atleast 1 solid bat to add to this lineup. If we really want it get Bregman now
Kenley Jansen is the max scherzer equivalent of a closer.
He wants to pitch into his 40’s. He’s gonna be amped up to hit 500 saves. Plus his cutter was looking really sharp despite the velo drop.
No issues giving him a month or two to prove he’s still that guy.
Out of Angel De Jesús, Miguel Del Pozo, and Miguel Diaz, Tyler Holton, and Kervin Castro in Toledo.
Atleast ONE if not 2 should be able to have productive seasons in majors. New roster restrictions makes it hard to bounce relievers around, but Scott will need to try out arms
@matteblackLurk@OriolesFansSay@ChrisBrown0914 We’re not actually in dire need of prospects. We’re in need of a SS and 3rd baseman ready to play. If that’s not possible then there’s no real reason for us to move skubal.
