From my lightning talk topic, one thing I didn't expect to learn was how little the harm of #ecotourism is talked about! I found out that in part is that the bad parts/stories have usually been undocumented for the sake of the company running it. #ENVIR400

@JasmineGrady11 They definitely benefit one another, #EnvironmentalRacism fits in with these. Low-income areas are given the least repair and attention. Even excluding the physical issues, not even being able to enjoy nature near your home is mentally oppressive. #ENVIR400

@lucyterry23 I'm not sure if appropriate certification is necessary. It could even discourage sustainability (I've heard that happen a lot in the US with 'organic' labels, where animals are discarded rather than treated for minor illnesses to keep the label). #ENVIR400
