I remember my only year playing college soccer. Most of my memories are terrible. Standing in freezing rain, practices with only running, etc. What makes them memorable is the relationships built with those people and the lessons God provided. That’s what makes them special.

Late night thought: the beauty of life is the never ending process of failure (and bad experiences altogether) and learning (lessons within the bad times). Without failure, there would be no learning. Without learning, life would be pointless.

This isn't news, but some churches are in trouble - whether realized or not - because they're following a model requiring that they exist to satisfy the appetites of causally connected consumers instead of making resilient disciples transformed by the cross to embrace self-denial

Love this. The Bible, especially the New Testament, is not meant to impose laws and rules for us to follow, it is meant to repair us in the righteousness of God, so that we can be in relationship with our Heavenly Father.
